She had previously received treatment of two corticosteroid injections and physical therapy. An MRI revealed a partial articular-sided rotator cuff tear. Due to the chronicity of symptoms, the patient elected to undergo left shoulder arthroscopy with debridement versus repair of her PASTA lesion. On routine arthroscopic exam for the rotator cuff tear, she was found to have multiple soft-cartilage blisters on the humeral head.
