Dr. Boksman is the Director of Clinical Affairs at Clinical Re-search Dental. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at University of Western Ontario. Dr. Boksman was also a member of the Editorial Board of REALITY from 1988 to 2003. Dr. Boksman has published over 100 referred articles and chapters in dental texts. He has given numerous international lectures in Restorative Dentistry and has an extensive list of experiences, distinctions and awards.

Course Details: Simplification with predictability in crown and bridge seems hard to achieve unless you have the materials and techniques that work in synchronicity. This program will present systems of Impressioning and temporization that lead to increased productivity and time savings with less clinical variability. These systems will facilitate insertion of crown and bridge restorations and veneers with minimal time spent. Also discussed will be tissue management and how various haemostatic agents affect polyvinyl siloxane materials and subsequent bonding.

One important risk management strategy is to keep

record keeping guidelines and recommendations. To
this end, Dr. Michael Gardner, will provide an update on
dental record keeping, including electronic
recordkeeping.
In addition , using everyday examples from PLP files,
Dr. Don McFarlane will also be providing other
complaints/ malpractice prevention advice to help you
avoid common practice -related concerns and achieve
a safer and happier practice.

He presents lectures on managing medical emergencies in the dental office, has been a lecturer of oral pathology and clinical instructor at the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene, and currently serves as a clinical instructor in the Oral Diagnosis and Emergency clinics at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.
Course Details:
A certified instructor with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, along with a team of assistant instructors, will review the steps to follow when you encounter a medical emergency in your office. A recertification course for health care providers will be offered as well as the use of an AED for targeted responders.

Endondontics: Management and Restoration of
Endodontically treated Teeth

Dr. Manfred Freidman
Dr. Manfred Friedman is a graduate from the University of Witwatersrand Johannesburg and University of Pretoria in 1980. He immigrated to Canadian 1987 where he took up a full time position at the University of Western Ontario and was appointed as Director of Dentistry at The Southwestern Regional Center for developmentally challenged adults from 1987 to 1994. Dr. Friedman was also the Director of the Undergrad Endo Program from 1997 to 2002. He currently has a full time practice in London ON restricting his practice to Endodontics, and is a major part-time Adjunct Professor at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at UWO, where he directs the Endodontic lab course as well as acts as clinical instructor. Dr. Friedman has given numerous courses on Endodontics since joining UWO, with particular interests in rotary instrumentation, endodontic materials, Apex locators, and restoring the endodontically treated tooth.

Dr. Rob Pasch Dr. Vageesh Sabhrawal
Dr. Rob Pasch graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in 1982 and started a general dental practice in Mississauga Ontario .He is interested in treating early; when the conditions warrant, he prefers to develop the stomatognathic system by using Functional Appliances like Twin Block’s; Sagittal’s; and bite correctors, versus extraction in the permanent dentition.
Dr. Vageesh Sabharwal graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry with Honours in 2001. He has completed training in Esthetics from the University of Minnesota, Cosmedent Institute and the University of Tennessee. He has lectured in Dubai, UAE and New Delhi, India about Creating Esthetics using Composite Resins.
Course Details:
Incorporation of orthodontic procedures into the flow of a G.P. Dental Practice and what to watch out for, all the while focusing on esthetics and predictability of the result.
Dr. Sabharwal will be discussing how to use composite resins to address daily restorative needs of patients using a more esthetic technique. Mastering the basic techniques will enable attendees to handle more complex cases using composite resins.
