5. Aim/Course Description : This course emphasizes the basic concepts about management; the course is focused on the information, analyses, organizational processes, and skills and business judgment managers must use to implement in the business.
6. Prerequisites : Knowledge on Management and engineering ethics
7. Course Objectives: grasp the basics of management functions. understand basic management principles applying to individuals, small and large organizations. appreciate the ideal characteristics of a good manager. create ethical, social and environmental awareness. understand the importance of ethics and sustainability in the modern organization.
8. Course Outcomes: Students should be able to work as an effective team member and leader. demonstrate understanding of successful planning. use problem-solving strategies and critical thinking in real life situations. develop a position on the relation between personal morality and professional codes. begin considering larger-scale ethical issues related to science and engineering.
Relationship of course to program outcomes
1) To demonstrate conceptual grounding in business theory and practice.
2) To identify a problem, analyze, formulate and use the appropriate managerial skills for obtaining its solution.

6) To use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for managerial practice (Practical managerial analysis skills).
7) To demonstrate a critical awareness of current issues (e.g., diversity, social responsibility, sustainability, innovation, knowledge management, etc.) in business and management, which is informed by leading edged research and practice in the field.
