The Program Committee has invited local, regional and national experts in the field, some of whom have spoken here in the past. Case-based scenarios will be used to present traumatic pancreaticoduodenal and abdominal injury recognition, treatments and therapies. Other topics will focus on disaster management – Boston Marathon, pediatric trauma care and airway management. A guest speaker will discuss lessons learned from the Boston Marathon Bombings. The keynote speaker will focus on teen driving. This conference is designed to educate caregivers across the entire spectrum of trauma care, including pre-hospital providers, nurses, midlevel practitioners and physicians of all specialties. The learning objectives of this meeting are: n To educate through two case-based scenarios of difficult patient care issues, traumatic pancreati- coduodenal injuries and abdominal injuries, across the continuum of pre-hospital, acute care and rehabilitation. n To evaluate injuries, treatments & controversies in neurotrauma. n To discuss the management of disaster responses and preparedness. n To review therapies and concepts of Pediatric Trauma. n To examine treatments, management and practice guidelines for unique injury patterns. n To review a multiple casualty incident including a discussion of operations and lessons learned. n To learn and evaluate the dangers of teen driving. n To discuss interesting case presentations and novel management strategies for their management.
