Course aims: The first part of this module teaches the skills for the preparation and critical interpretation of market and location analysis and introduces basic terminology. Coverage also includes quanti-tative and qualitative methods for the elicitation and evaluation of primary and secondary data. Moreover, methods of procuring projects and estimating construction costs will be pre-sented. In the second part of the module, “Real Estate Law”, students obtain basic knowledge of the legal sphere related to real estate relevant for project development (among them construction planning and building regulations law, sales and building contracts). Requirements of entry: - Applicability to other modules and study programmes: Knowledge of the contents of this module is required in Modules MP05, 10, and 15. Course aims: There are many strategic decisions that project managers are faced with during project work: on the one hand, these are about managing chances and risks, on the other, they can involve the composition and leadership of the project team. In order to successfully complete these tasks and lead the team the project leader needs not only strategic thinking but also methods and instruments of strategic planning as well as leadership skills (e.g. conducting employee performance reviews, team development, conflict management). This module will teach students management skills that enable them to lead project teams. Methods and instruments of strategic planning, and organisation and leadership of project teams will be introduced with the help of practical examples. By means of case studies the abovementioned methods and instruments will be applied to the students’ work life.
