IMPORTANT SHOWS OF OIL AND GAS
There were minor shows of deal oil staining in the Minnelusa as noted in the Sample Description later in this geological report. There were also slight shows of oil (brown-black residual oil stain, no fluorescence nor cut) in the very top of the main objective, the Second Leo Sandstone. The remainder of the Second Leo Sandstone was full of sulfur water as shown by the Drillstem Test and Sample Description. A good gas kick was indicated by the detector just above the Second Leo Sandstone as noted in the Sample Description. We believe the gas came out of the black shale just above the sand, as no gas nor oil show was recovered on the Drillstem Test.
There were other slight shows in very thin (one or two inches) laminae in various parts of the Leo zones other than the Second Leo. Please refer to the Sample Description.
ELECTRIC LOG ANALYSIS
Schlumberger's Mr. Bill Troxel analyzed the water from the Drillstem Test of the Second Leo Sand and he found that the water resistivety is .12 ohm's at 110 o F bottom hole temperature. This gives the Second Leo Sand a water saturation of 78% from 2461' to 2472' which is compatible with the Sample Description "show of oil".
Wulf Oil's #1 Wulf-Federal in Section 15 measured a water resistivety of .19 ohm's at 108 6 F bottomhole temperature (Troxel) some two and one-half miles to the southwest.
The Schlumberger engineer at our well-site gave slightly different water resistivity measurements on the DST water in our well, but results are not significant as shown on the Exhibit "A" Log Analysis attached at end of this report.

DST #1 (only one was run)
2457' to 2469' (2nd Leo Ss.). Open 5, Shut in 30, Open 30, Shut in 30 min. Strong blow of air reaching bottom of bucket in 1 minute throughout flow periods. Recovered 1575' fluid: 75' muddy water, 1500' sulfur water. Sampler contained 2150 cc sulfur water @ 50 psi. Star Hughes checked the water in the sample chamber for water resistivity and we do not think that they did it correctly. See "Important Shows" on page 2. Bottom hole temperature 109° F.

DISCUSSION
If we can find a geologically suitable location at a higher structural elevation compared to the #1 DUTOIT'S nice sand we found in the Second Leo, we might consider drilling again on this prospect, but our present leasehold appears to be condemned.
MUD PROGRAM
Excellent gel chemical drilling mud was furnished by Milchem, Inc. The well was mudded up at 1200 feet and water loss was lowered to 19 cc. water loss by 1590' with 9.1 lbs./gal. weight mud 31 viscosity. At the Second Leo Sand we had 38 viscosity, 9.5 weight and 10 cc. water loss with a pH of 10. Samples of drill cuttings were excellent in this well.
SAMPLE DISPOSITION
Drill cuttings were delivered to American Stratigraphic Co. in Denver, Colorado with instructions to ship a set to the University of South Dakota office of the State of South Dakota at Vermillion, where the samples will be stored.
Respectfully submitted,
William F. Grauten

Respectfully submitted,
William F. Grauten
