From the Border Stripe - Ochre (A):• Fussy cut (4) 10” x 28 ½” strips each centered on a scene.
From the Wheat Star Calico - Red (B), cut:• (2) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (8) 2” x 10” strips.• (8) 2” x 31 ½” WOF strips. • (2) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (24) 2” squares.
From the Folio - Off White (C), cut:• (6) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (112) 2” x 3 ½” strips. From the Wheat Star Calico - Black (D), cut:• (7) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (128) 2” x 3 ½” strips.
From the Pinwheel Ombre - Red (E), cut:• (2) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (40) 2” squares.
From the Pinwheel Ombre - Cream/Gold (F), cut:• (1) 2 ⅜” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (6) 2 ⅜” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (12) 2 ⅜” triangles.• (5) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (92) 2” squares.
From the Small Novelty-Spring - Green (G), cut:• (1) 2 ⅜” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 2 ⅜” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (8) 2 ⅜” triangles.• (5) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (88) 2” squares.
From the Wheat Star Calico - Green (H), cut:• (1) 2 ⅜” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (2) 2 ⅜” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (4) 2 ⅜” triangles.• (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (76) 2” squares.
From the Folio - Gold (I), cut:• (6) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (112) 2” squares.
From the Winding Vines (J), - Blue, cut:• (2) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (32) 2” squares.
From the Small Novelty-Summer - Dark Blue (K), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (16) 2” squares.
From the Novelty-Winter - Red (L), cut:• (1) 2 ⅜” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 2 ⅜” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (8) 2 ⅜” triangles.• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (16) 2” squares.
From the Pinwheel Ombre - Green (Backing), cut:• (4) 18 ½” x 36 ½” WOF strips for the (4) backs.
Block Assembly Note: Pay attention to the unit orientations when assembling the various components.

1. Sew (1) 2” x 10” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 10” x 28 ½” Fabric A strip. Sew (1) 2” x 31 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A strip. Trim the block to measure 30 ½” x 12 ½” to make (1) Center Block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (4) Center Blocks total.
2. Place (1) 2” Fabric B square on the left side of (1) 2” x 3 ½” Fabric C strip, right sides together (Fig. 2). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 2). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance. Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 3).

3. Place (1) 2” Fabric F square on the right side of the 2” x 3 ½” Fabric C strip, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 4). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance. Flip open the triangle formed and press to make (1) Unit 1 strip (Fig. 5).
4. Repeat Steps 2-3 to make (4) Unit 1 strips total.
5. Repeat Steps 2-3 and refer to Figures 6-20 for fabric identification, placement and seam direction to make the designated number of each unit for Unit 2 through Unit 16. There will be (112) strips total.

6. Sew (1) 2 ⅜” Fabric G triangle and (1) 2 ⅜” Fabric F triangle together along the long side. Trim the block to measure 2” square to make (1) Unit 17 square (Fig. 21). Repeat to make (4) Unit 17 squares total.
7. Repeat Step 6 and refer to Figures 22-24 for fabric identification and placement to make (4) 2” Unit 18 squares, (4) 2” Unit 19 squares and (4) 2” Unit 20 squares.
8. Sew (4) assorted unit strips together end to end to make the Inner Left Side Border (Fig. 25). Repeat to make (4) Inner Left Side Borders. Repeat to make (4) Inner Right Side Border total (Fig. 26).

Pillow Assembly (Follow the Pillow Layout while assembling the pillow tops.)15. Sew the Inner Side Border strips to the Center Block. Sew the Inner Top and Bottom Border strips to the Center Block.
16. Sew the Outer Side Border strips to the Center Block. Sew the Outer Top and Bottom Border strips to the Center Block to make (1) Pillow Top.
17. Place (1) pillow top, right sides together with (1) 18 ½” x 36 ½” back piece, aligning the raw edges. Pin together and sew around the sides, leaving a 3”- 4” opening for turning.
18. Turn the pillow right side out and press. Stuff with poly-fil. Hand sew the opening closed.
19. Repeat Steps 15-18 to make (4) Pillows total.
13. Sew (11) assorted unit strips together end to end. Sew (1) 2” Fabric E square to the left end of the newly sewn strip and (1) 2” Fabric I square to the right end to make the Outer Top Border (Fig. 49 below). Repeat to make (4) Outer Top Borders total.
14. Sew (11) assorted unit strips together end to end. Sew (1) 2” Fabric I square to the left end of the newly sewn strip and (1) 2” Fabric E to the right end to make the Outer Bottom Border (Fig. 50 below). Repeat to make (4) Outer Bottom Borders total.
