Mina Counts Backwards

After Mina’s average day, she was ready to go

home.

She walked out of her classroom with 20 desks

in it…

in a line with her 19 classmates.

She walked 18 steps between the school and

the bus.

She rode the bus 17 blocks to her house.

She jumped 16 times between the bus and her

house.

She shared 15 apple slices with her brother

and sister…

and 14 animal crackers as well.

She did her homework of 13 math problems.

She put her 12 dolls away…

and 11 of her shirts also.

She washed 10 dishes.

She took out a bag of 9 cans to the recycle

bin…

..and another bag with 8 newspapers.

She helped her brother pick up 7 toy cars…

And her sister’s 6 books.

For dinner, she ate 5 chicken nuggets…

..and 4 pieces of broccoli.

She played with her 3 cats.

She said goodnight to her 2 siblings.

And finally she realized….

she was all alone…
