Conference Information

Dates: 10 – 11 November 2016 Adams Auditorium, UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force AcademyAdams Auditorium is in the centre of the Australian Defence Force Academy which is less than 2km from Russell Offices and only 5km from Civic and Kingston.

The Capability Systems Centre at the University of New South Wales in Canberra (UNSW Canberra) presents the inaugural Counter Non-Traditional Threats Conference and Exhibition (Counter-NTT).

Counter-NTT is an inaugural conference targeted at those who have an interest in countering the non-traditional threats from chemicals, biological hazards, radiation, nuclear, toxic industrial chemicals and materials, other hazardous materials, and pandemics.

The conference is focused at decision makers, operational staff and practitioners alike from Defence, government, academia, defence industry, other government agencies and health delivery organisations.

Counter-NTT will be held 10-11 November 2016 at Adams Auditorium, UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra.

The Counter-NTT program includes:

About the Capability Systems Centre

The Capability Systems Centre is a UNSW industry centre resident within UNSW Canberra. The Centre is an independent think tank that offers cutting edge research and analysis to government, defence and industry.

The Centre, through its research, publications, education, and events, combines world-class academic expertise across a range of disciplinary areas relevant to the delivery of capability systems, from conceptual design to acquisition and disposal.

The Centre’s activities focus on systems acquisition and in particular on the application of systems science, systems thinking, complex systems, system of systems, systems engineering, requirements engineering, and systems engineering management and project management.

Exhibition Opportunities

The exhibition will be held in the foyer of Adams Auditorium at UNSW Canberra. The included floorplan will ensure good visibility and access to all booths and stands.

Traffic flow around the exhibition area will be encouraged by placement of food and beverages in the area.

There are a total of 12 Opal Octanorm Booths (3m x 2m) and 17 Opal Octanorm Showcase Booths (3m x 1m) available.

SBX, the exhibit build contractors, will be available during the move-in period to ensure each exhibitor’s needs are met.

Bookings and PaymentsSponsorship

All sponsorship prices include GST.

All bookings will be allocated on receipt of a signed application form and in the order of receipt of the confirmation form at [email protected]

An email will be sent to you to confirm your booking along with a tax invoice issued by UNSW Canberra. All monies payable must be received by the due dates.

Failure to do so may result in your organisation being deemed to have cancelled its booking. The Capability Systems Centre reserve the right to refuse access to the venue for set-up until payment in full has been made and cleared.

Exhibition

Exhibition space is limited so book your space early.

All exhibition prices include GST.

Cancellation

Notify the Manager of the Capability Systems Centre as soon as possible if withdrawal of sponsorship or cancellation of exhibition space is necessary. A refund of fees paid will be made to the sponsor/exhibitor cancelling before 30 September 2016. No refund will be available after that date.

Insurance

Exhibitors are strongly encouraged to insure goods against damage or loss during transit and whilst on display.

Exhibitors must have a current public liability insurance cover for the exhibition booths. A copy of this cover should be available on request.

UNSW Canberra does not provide insurance cover for exhibitor’s property.

Personal Insurance

It is recommended that individuals take out travel insurance to cover injury to person of property.

The policy should include loss of deposit regardless of whether due to cancellation, medical insurance and loss or damage to personal property.

Privacy Act

Due to privacy legislation, the Capability Systems Centre cannot guarantee that all participants will be included on the delegates list.
