Countable nouns are easy to recognize. They are thingsthat be can count.

We can count them, and they have plural forms.

For example:

I eat banana every day.

I l ike bananas.

bottle, box, litre .

note, dollar. cup, plate, fork .

table, chai r, suitcase, bag.

Countable nouns can be singular or

plural:

My dog is playing.My dogs are hungry.

I have got one egg.

I have got two eggs.

Other nouns are not countable. We can' t countthem, and they do not have plural forms.

Uncountable nouns are substances, concepts etc

that we cannot divide into separate elements. We

cannot "count.We dont usual ly use the indefini te article a/an

with uncountable nouns.

For example:

NOTE: money is considered as an

uncountable noun. Example:

I dont have money.

Susan has much money.
