Orchestrating Slope Did you know you can explore slope and rate of change by measuring parts of a steel drum?
8th grade math students will be working with Kevin Martin from Rockcreek Steel Drums
December 16th through the 20th during their math classes. Students will not only be
working on the specific math standards but learning a song to perform to other classes on
December 20th! Parents and families are welcome to join the classes on December 20th in
the library to watch a brief presentation from Kevin about the making of the drums and to
watch your child perform their song! Be sure to sign into the main office before coming up to
the library! See flyer in the attachments!

DONATIONS NEEDED! We need donations of lightly used items
such as: toys, holiday decorations, gifts for
him, gifts for her, books, etc. (Please no
clothing). Please help us by donating what
you can. Donations should be marked
“Bargain Basement” and left in the front
office.
The Sharing Foundation is a community
organization that provides gifts for the
children of families chosen by School
Counselors. This year they will fill the
holiday wish list of 370 boys and girls in
Anne Arundel County! The barrel located
in the school’s lobby is to help support this
very special initiative. Please consider
dropping off a new toy in the barrel to help
support the Sharing Foundation in their
efforts to make a merry holiday season for
many children in Anne Arundel County.

In Memoriam It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Demby. Ms. Demby was an ever-smiling presence in our ACC program. She will be missed by staff and students alike.
