NIGMA- “Self-Segregation”

Course: Independent Study: The nature of independent study classes is stu-dent-motivated, with students taking the initiative. The students are to initiate their own projects, determine what research needs to be done, and carry out the projects independently.

Assignment: NIGMA is an alias created for a semester long independent art study. The mission of NIGMA is to create collective protest art aimed to educate and spark student conversation on college campuses. This specific project pre-sented statistics about self-segregation on campuses through 11”x17” stickers posted in various bathrooms at my university.
