this is a template in which we want photographers to take photos of other innovations. Mansukhbhai has received national award by National Innovation Foundation at Presidential award function. Idea is to develop photo essays of innovators who have helped in eliminating child labour or enhancing income of their parents so that children are sent to school and not work. We are aware that technologies alone may not eliminate child labour but they can facilitate the conditions for that to happen, and in some cases help in elimination, as it happened in the present case. sristi invited photographers who wish to join hands in this effort.

‘In the initial years of his struggle, many of Mansukhbhai’s colleagues and coworkers volunteered after duty hours to help develop the machine’
‘At one point in time, he had many machines which were returned with complaints from customers. It was found that there was a trivial technical error in the machines. However, this caused him to incur heavy losses. Instead of giving up, Mansukhbhai became even more of a perfectionist.’
‘ The first prototype was developed in 1994 and Mansukhbhai has never stopped improving the machine. In fact, his entire life seems to be an endless pursuit of perfection.’
‘Before Mansukhbhai’s machine, all the cotton stripping was done by women and children.’
