Barbara Christopher’s musical

journey has taken her from Juil-

liard to the Broadway stage to

traveling across the globe per-

forming in world-renowned oper-

as. She has worked with such

artists as Liza Minnelli, Hal

Prince, Melba Moore, Jack Cassi-

dy, Linda Lavin, Bernadette Peters, Gregory Hines, Alfred Drake, Alvin

Ailey, and Kathleen Battle and has performed such roles as Musetta in

Frank Corsaro’s La Bohème and Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro.

Her journey brings her talent and techniques to New York City.

Currently a staff instructor at Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning,

Barbara has taught at Viterbo University, American Academy of Dra-

matic Arts, The Actors Institute, and the Sol Goldman YM-YWHA. She

was cofounder, producer, and artistic director of Opera Amici, Inc.,

and she continues the 20-year tradition of producing and performing

in the Christopher Cabaret, a semiannual showcase of her students’

talents in New York City.

With her extensive training and experience in performance and in-

struction, Barbara’s vocal teaching and coaching makes a difference

with voices at every level and in most every musical style.

The

Natural Nicole Conti is a junior in High School and has been singing since she can remember. She's been in several musi-cals such as “The Wizard of Oz”, “Oklahoma”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat”, and other shows she's written with peers.

Nicole is extremely excited to be performing at the Cotton Club with Barbara and her other students. She's very thankful for the opportunity and appreciates Barbara and Andrew's guidance throughout this process. Nicole wishes to continue singing for the rest of her life.

sharing the stage with the phenomenal

talent of Christopher Cabaret. Natasha

has performed as a member New

Voices of Freedom Choir, appeared in

U2’s “Rattle and Hum” movie and as a

regular feature of the “Allyson Star

Variety Show”. She recently appeared

at the Broadway Comedy Club and the

Iguana Lounge in NYC. This is Natasha’s second appearance with the

Christopher Cabaret. Natasha thanks all of you the opportunity to share

this gift of music with you.

vixen Dawn Speaks is a singer, actor, poet. Dawn has performed in the triptych “Mama Africa”, “This Little Word of Mine” and most recently in the play “Perfect”. This marks Dawn’s singing debut with the Christopher Cabaret. The

star Celebrating his 8th year with Christopher Cabaret this month, Bennett Silverstein is also celebrating another milestone in just 5 days - he turns 60. Despite his longevity, he persists he keeps learning how to sing by listening to the younger members of the group. He appeared in a com-munity theater production of My Fair Lady in Brooklyn, the borough that he loves.

He loves the cabaret so much that he actually took 4 trains and a shuttle bus to get to rehearsal in Manhattan. Bennett is committed to giving you a good show. There's only one word to describe somebody like that: STAR! Because he is starry eyed...ABOUT YOU!
