Welcome to our first cosplay book (which is FREE!) for an ongoing series for J!-ENT’s Cosplay Underground by photographer Nergene Arquelada.

An avid fan and photographer of quality cosplay, expect to see beautiful, full-color photography of cosplayers and much more.

The first pictorial book are photos taken at Fanime Con 2008 in San Jose, California.

Following a J!-ENT format for Japanese names: Family name is first, first name is second.

Nergene Arquelada joined J!-ENT as a photographer in 2004. He is known to many as the anime convention and cosplay photographer “Super No. 1”. Nergene has photographed bands, talents and industry professionals for J!-ENT. He is an avid fan of

Japanese and Korean music and dramas. Nergene graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising at the gym and attending local cultural festivals. He currently lives in the Los Angeles area.

Welcome to J!-ENT’s first cosplay photobook for Cosplay Underground featuring the beautiful photography by Nergene Arquelada.

Well-known for his work for J!-ENT for his celebrity and concert photographs, Nergene brings his cosplay photography to J!-ENT with the first of an ongoing photobook series featuring various cosplayers known for their breathtaking and stunning cosplay outfits.

The first volume features cosplayers showing us their elaborate outfits from series such as “Pita Ten”, “Death Note”, “Transformers, “Gintama” and “Vocaloid” from Fanime 2008 in San Jose, California.
