BBO COOK-OFF RULES AND REGULATIONS
1 Only one (1) entry per pit 2 Teams will consist of a Head Cook and up to 4 team members 3 Any and all meat and or meats that may be entered into judging will be cooked from scratch within the
constraints of the event Pre-cooking marinating etc will not be allowed prior to start of the cook -off as defined by the cook-off promoter
4 Fires must be of wood or charcoal Pit may include gas or electricity to start natural substance but not to complete cooking Holes or open pits are not allowed Fires may not be built on the ground Each team must bring a fire extinguisher
5 Cooks meeting will be held Saturday morning at 800 AM the tum-in tent Head Cooks Must Attend t2 Chicken fully jointed split chicken (with breast wing thigh and drumstick) Pork Spare Ribs 7 individual ribs (bone in - S1 Louis cut acceptable) Brisket 7 full width slices (approx 4 to 38 thick) Dry Pinto Beans Cooked on site nothing larger than bean to be put in tum-in cup
BASED ON THE NUMBER OF COOKS - TURN-IN QUANTITIES SUBJECT TO CHANGE NO GARN1SH or SAUCE is allowed in the tray at turn-in You may cook with sauce but it can not be ladled onto the meat at turn-in 6 It is the responsibility of the contestant to see that the contest area is kept clean and that the area is
cleaned and policed following the contest All fires must be put out concrete blocks and other materials must be hauled away and all equipment removed from site
7 Promoter amp cook-off officials will not be held responsible for accidents theft or any mishaps 8 No animals allowed No ATVs will be allowed on the grounds other than those for Cook-off officials 9 Excessive use of alcoholic beverages may be grounds for disqualification Alcoholic beverages rules
must be followed (example pour in cups) Under no circumstances are alcoholic beverages to be distributed to the general public by contestants No food sales to the public Samples are encouraged though
10 IBCAjudging rules will apply 11 Quite time will be 11 00 PM (City Ordinance) 12 Cookers can start moving in Thursday after 200 PM
