    Corvette Expressions 3rd Edition—Volume 133 September, 2017

Greetings, and welcome to the September issue of Corvette Expressions. Fall is just about here, but before I start talking about upcoming events in September, here’s what was hap-pening in the past month: On August 10, Lynn Schneiderman organized a fun, walking tour of the historic town of Ocean Grove. It was a lovely evening for all participants! Bill Nagle led a corvette cruise to the Chatterbox Res-taurant on August 19. If you’ve never been there, it is a 50’s style restaurant where they have frequent classic car shows (not to mention the best milk shakes ever!) Definitely worth the trip. Finally, club members met once again at Jersey Freeze on August 25, to shoot the breeze, show off their beau-tiful cars, and of course, enjoy some great ice cream! Well, now that September is here, there are plenty of car shows and events to choose from. Make sure to check out the club activities listings on the next page, and also take a look at all the car shows that are listed on the last few pages of this newsletter. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 6. See you then! Lisa Force Newsletter Editor

Happy Labor Day and welcome to September! This month is a very busy one in the car hobby. Cooler temps and less summer traffic lend themselves to great car shows and cruising. Our calen-dar, as usual, is busier than ever. Many other car clubs are having their events this fall too. So check our website, this newsletter, as well as other online or printed media to find an event near you. The Corvettes at Carlisle event was slightly better than last year. The show field was almost full and attend-ance was definitely up. As the hobby evolves, you can see a trend towards later model cars, interest in cruising and not so much do-it-yourself repair and res-toration. The tremendous availability and variety of aftermarket parts is getting better every year for every model. In the upcoming months we will be asking the mem-bership to consider committee and executive board nominations. Membership involvement to a club like ours, is critical to its operation and growth. As you have seen, the difference is in the membership and their participation. That's what sets Corvette Express apart from your average car club. Hope to see you all at the next meeting. Yours in Corvettes, Rob Lombardi
