CORROSION-RESISTANT FLOORS & WALLS

Sauereisen’s monolithic materialsprovide good physical and chemicalprotection and are more economicalthan masonry systems. These sys-tems are ideally suited for processareas, aisles, containment dikes andother areas subject to forklift trafficand spillage of corrosives. All areresin-based materials applied bypour-and-spread, trowel, roller or spray.

Self-Leveling Epoxy - This coatingsystem is ideal for chemical resistance in low traffic areas. If skid resistance is required, varioussized aggregates may be added as a broadcast system.

ConoCrete - a family of chemical-resistant, 100% solids, epoxy flooring systems for protecting old or new concrete. These aggregate-filled products are troweled to a 1/4inch thickness. Available in three formulations including GeneralPurpose, Chemical & Food Gradeand NovolaK to provide resistance to specific temperature, physical and chemical environments.

Arctikure - an epoxy floor systemdesigned for cold room applications.Cures at temperatures as low as 35°F.

ConoSpread - the pour-and-spreadepoxy system that provides a durable,yet labor-friendly floor topping.Applied from 60 mils to 1/4 inch.Typical installations involve the application of a basecoat slurry that is topped with a broadcast for additional skid resistance.

FibreCrete - a fiber-reinforcedepoxy lining for vertical and horizon-tal protection of concrete or steel.Applied by airless spray, this durablebarrier is a labor-saving alternativefor either immersion service or secondary containment.

ConoGlaze - is a high-gloss coatingfor areas where aesthetics or ease ofcleaning is desired. Available in threechemical-resistant grades, it serves as a 10 mil thick topcoat or as anindependent barrier.

Masonry SystemsChemical-resistant masonry withstands the highest degree of physical abuse and corrosion. Theend product is an attractive floor-ing system that’s easily sanitized.

The most heavy-duty masonryflooring system employs an impervious membrane and denseacid-brick bonded with a chemi-cal-resistant mortar. This systemwill bridge minor cracks and surface imperfections in the concrete substrate while providingprotection against aggressivechemicals and impact.

Direct-bond tile flooring is anothermasonry system highly suitablefor many food processing facili-ties. Its tough surface resists wear and corrosion. Floors protected with quarry tile andchemical-resistant grout provideyears of maintenance-free protection.

Mortars, Grouts & Setting Beds -Whether construction is by thebricklayers’ or tilesetters’ method,Sauereisen offers a complete arrayof supporting products includingfuran, epoxy or vinyl ester materials. Chemical-Resistant Membranes -Sauereisen supplies two asphalticmembranes commonly specified for brick flooring construction.These include a hot melt materialfor horizontal applications and a versatile rubberized sheet membrane for the most severe chemical challenges.
