ACTIVATORSBASED ON THIOSULPHATE

LIQUID FERTILIZERS FOR FERTIGATIONCONTAINING NITROGEN, POTASSIUM

AND SULPHUR AS THIOSULPHATE IONThese products are unusual in that they containSulphur as the thiosulphate ion. This ion has astrong reducing activity towards all themicroelements and in particular Iron andManganese. Microelements, already contained inthe soil or supplied through specific treat-ments,are quickly oxidised becoming unavai-lable tothe root system. Treatments with thiosulphatescan reduce metal oxides making them availablefor the crop. Tests carried out show that aftertreatment symptoms of iron chlorosis have beenovercome. Ferric ions (Fe3+) are present in thesoil but unavailable to the plant: treatment withthiosulphate ion reduces the iron to ferrous ions(Fe2+) which are readily absorbed by the crop.ACTIVATORS are available in two differentformulations: Ammonium Thiosulphate andPotassium Thiosulphate.

Do not mix with herbicides, insecticides and fungicides. Avoid direct eye and skin contact.

COMPOSITION

LIQUID FERTILIZER FOR FERTIGATIONCONTAINING READILY AVAILABLE NITROGEN

(IN ITS THREE FORMS) AND SULPHUR

In the majority of fertilizers Sulphur is oftencontained as Sulphate an effective but easilyleached form, giving an intense but short lastingeffect. AZOLFO 17.46 however, contains Sulphuras S2O32- in which two Sulphur atoms arecombined with three oxygen atoms. In the soilthe S2O32- ion is transformed into sulphate ions(SO42-), readily available to the plant, andelemental Sulphur (S), which is absorbed moreslowly and resists leaching. The high “reducing” power of this product allowsintake of those nutrients “locked up” in the soilin their oxidized form. The acidification inducedduring the transformation reactions allowsutilization of nutrients made unavailable bycalcareous soils.Another important benefit of using AZOLFO 17.46is the reduction of nitrogen losses from the soil. Used in combination with other nitro-genfertilizers it acts as both urease enzyme andnitrification inhibitor, reducing nitrate leachingand ammonia volatilisation and allows a gradualintake of the Nitrogen present(*).The fungistatic effect of Sulphur makes AZOLFO17.46 a formulation which gives healthier, betternourished crops.

(*) As indicated in the Final Report of the Contractno AIR-CT94-1953 in which are shown the resultsobtained in the research project on S2O32- carriedout by various European Institutes.

COMPOSITION

Dosage always depends on different factors (plant’s age, growth stage, climatic conditions, temperature, etc). The product displays good miscibility and compatibility, however, we advise preliminary tests and treatment of a few plan ts before extending to the whole area. DO NOT MIX WITH FERTILIZERS CONTAINING PHOSPHOROUS,SULPHATES AND WITH OUR POTASSIO-25 AND KALIPLUS-30.

CALCIOLiquido

LIQUID FERTILIZER WITHREADILY AVAILABLE CALCIUM

CALCIO LIQUIDO contains bivalent Calciumeasily absorbed by the root system and hencesuitable for fertigation. In general Calciumshortage appears as visible foliar depigmenta-tion and curling and bending of the leaf blades, especially in younger leaves. Within the plantCalcium performs important functions such asorganic acid neutralization, cell wall strengthe-ning and regulation of Nitrogen and Ironabsorption.Calcium shortage leads to decalcification andsoftening of the cells walls.

EDDHA CHELATE IRON MICRO-GRANULESSoluble microgranular formulation of Iron che-lated with EDDHA, ethylendiamino-di (o-hydroxyphenylacetic) acid. The main characte-ristic of this product is the presence of thestable ortho-ortho form of the EDDHA chelatingagent. Iron chelated with this isomer, oncedistributed in the soil, is released to the planteven in the case of soils with high pH valuesbecoming essential for the treatment of ironchlorosis, especially in calcareous soils whereiron salts are precipitated and locked in thesoil, unavailable to the plant.Products applications are suggested all thetimes that the plants show symptoms of yel-lowing between the “veins” of the leaves, espe-cially noticeable in young shoots.Because of this capacity to improve photosyn-thesis, the chelated iron promotes bloomingand better fruit development.

NATURAL LIQUID CONDITIONER WITH HUMICACIDS EXTRACTED FROM AMERICAN

LEONARDITE

HUMOSTIM is a liquid organic plant tonic basedon humic acids; highly active organic com-pounds extracted from natural fossils. Thesecolloidal formulations maximise the availabilityof nutrients whether applied directly to thecrop or already present in the soil. HUMOSTIMincreases the activity of growth promotingfactors. It is also beneficial as a seed treatmentand on seedling root systems prior totransplantation. Applied as a foliar treatment,it enhances the translocation of nutrientsthroughout the plant by increasing cell wallpermeability. Applied as a seed dressing,HUMOSTIM improves germination rates.

LIQUID PK FERTILIZERWITH HIGH SULPHUR CONTENT

PK-TS

COMPOSITION

Dosage always depends on different factors (plant’s age, growth stage, climatic conditions, temperature, etc) and can be increased or decreased according toyour requirements. DO NOT MIX WITH ACID PRODUCTS.

PK-TS with its high content in Sulphur and Potas-sium is particularly suitable for achieving a goodfruits ripening. PK-TS improves colour and textureof the fruits that become well pigmented andmore resistant to transit damages keeping a goodstorability. Sulphur, contained as S2O3, ensuresa full nourishment (SO4 readily available to theplant, and S, elemental sulphur, absorbed moreslowly and leaching resistant) and induces che-mical reactions of reduction for those nutrients“locked up” in the soil in their oxidized form. Thefungistatic effect of sulphur makes PK-TS a for-mulation which gives healthier, better nourishedcrops.

LIQUID NP ACIDIFYING FERTILIZERWITH pH INDICATOR

Formulation with acidifying action. The productis to be used as pH corrective for hard watersemployed for foliar nutrition and for agro-chemicals applications. VIRACID improvesnutrients absorption and efficacy of the activeingredients that in alkaline waters areconsiderably reduced. Adding VIRACID to theirrigation water brings to a drop of the pH to anoptimal level and, colouring the solutiondifferently as per its pH value, allows identifi-cation of the exact suitable dosage. In fact, inthe beginning the solution becomes yellow, meaning that the pH is still too high; continuingwith adding the product the pH reached is about6, at this value the solution becomes red.The acidifying action of VIRACID ensures thatirrigation systems are kept free of Calciumdeposits. Pipes and nozzles remain clean andblockage-free.VIRACID can be applied also to provide highnutrition in Phosphorus and Nitrogen both infertigation and in foliar application.
