Changes from the Initial Drawing of the

Magazine and the Mock Up

Front Cover

For the Main cover line of Glock I had to make it more concise. I could not used “Drugs Ruined My life” as it crossed over to his. Therefore I changed it to “I lost it all”. Also I could not add Exclusive interview therefore I just used Glock. To make up for the lost indication of what ruined his life. I used labels instead to act as an indicator. I did not use a Holy Cross necklace instead I used tattoos to show his desperation while following the Gangster convention.

For Kareem, I decided to use On The and Come Up on separate label as it looked better in my eyes. I did not use “interview with Kareem” because it interviewed with the focal image, so I just used Kareem, in the mindset that the audience knew what type of article it would be.

For “Top 50 Lyrists Of All Time” I made it more concise by having “Greatest Lyrists 50”. I tried to make the cover line more attracting by making the “50” bigger.

Content Page

I made the area for which the Content Page is in Bigger and decided to add a Red box which has a down gradient to keep it related to the “OPASSO” color scheme.

The “OPASSO” label was put on the left side of the content as it fit there conventionally for a magazine content page.

Therefore the images where put on opposite ends.

Double Page Spread

For the focal image of the double page spread I did not use a page number.

For the model of the double page spread, it changed so the costume changed slightly and he wore a bandana.
