HELP HUMANITARIANAWARD RECIPIENT
STEPHEN DAVIS President, Hasbro Studios
Stephen Davis is widely regarded for his professional achievements and his commitment to children’s causes.
Stephen is president of Hasbro Studios, the Los Angeles-based entertainment division of Hasbro, Inc. The studio drives entertainment brand-driven storytelling for the company and is responsible for all television, film, commercial productions and short-form multi-platform content across all traditional and digital media.
Under Stephen’s direction, the studio develops and produces TV shows based on Hasbro’s world class brands, including Transformers, My Little Pony, Littlest
Pet Shop and Scrabble, and stands as one of the most prolific independent program suppliers in Hollywood. Through 2013, it will have green lit more than 800 half-hours of production. Many of these shows air on The Hub, a joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications.
Stephen also oversees the company’s Film Group, which develops films based on Hasbro's brands, including Transformers 4 (Paramount), Stretch Armstrong (Relativity Media) and Candy Land (Sony); and oversees commercials and short-form content production.
Hasbro and The Help Group have a very special history. In 2010, Stephen cut the ribbon on the Hasbro Boundless Playground at The Help Group’s Autism Center. Stephen has continued his association with The Help Group as a member of our Circle of Friends Philanthropic Board.
Stephen serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE); is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of PCI: Media Impact; is a member of the Board of Directors of The Hub; the Hollywood Radio & Television Society; and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He serves on the Advisory Council of the School of Communications/Radio, Film and Television at University of Texas at Austin; is a trustee of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and Wilshire Boulevard Temple, and serves on the Board of Governors of The Paley Center for Media (Los Angeles) and on the Board of the Zimmer Children's Museum.
Stephen and his wife Peggy have three children, Cadence, Will, and Hannah. The Davis family shares The Help Group’s belief that dignity, hope, opportunity and love are the birthrights of all children.
It is our privilege to present our Help Humanitarian Award to Stephen Davis.
Your commitment to community enables young
people to embrace hope and achieve their dreams.
