Con gran expectación, y ya van XXIV ediciones, el Festival Interna-

cional de Folklore, Muestra Solidaria de los pueblos, está ya en el horizonte. El mes de julio vibra alrededor de la música, la idiosincrasia y la cultura de diversos países, pues son múltiples y variadas las ramificaciones que se derivan de un festival consolidado y de impecable trayectoria, cuya organización cada año trabaja para mantener el nivel de exce-lencia que le caracteriza.

Lo que en sus inicios fue una manifesta-ción musical, ha derivado en un conoci-miento más profundo de los que nos vi-sitan a través de su gastronomía, de sus hábitos y aspectos etnográficos. Así, en esta ocasión tendremos la oportunidad de conocer con detalle todo lo relativo a Italia, Indonesia, Rusia, Benín, Marrue-cos o Senegal, además de grupos de la geografía peninsular, que este caso vie-nen desde Madrid.

Acogemos a las personas que nos vi-sitan con los brazos abiertos, que se sientan como en su propia casa, sobre todo cuando es la primera vez que están con nosotros, esperando siempre que se lleven una grata impresión de la Villa de Ingenio y su gente.

Se enriquece el festival con el Campus de Etnografía y Folclore dirigido por la ULPGC, que tratará aspectos referidos a la Academia Canaria de la Lengua o el Centenario del Nacimiento de César Manrique, entre otros.

Animamos a nuestros vecinos y vecinas, y a los que nos visitan para la ocasión, a que contribuyan con su presencia en los diferentes actos programados a que nuestro festival siga siendo un hito im-portante dentro del panorama cultural de nuestro país.

With great expectation, and already in its 24th edition, the Interna-

tional Folklore Festival “Solidarity Show of the people”, is on the horizon. The month of July vibrates around the music, the idiosyncrasy and the culture of differ-ent countries, because there are many and varied ramifications that derive from a consolidated and impeccable festival, whose organization every year works to maintain its characteristic level of excel-lence.

What began as a musical manifestation, has evolved in a deeper knowledge of those who visit us through their gas-

tronomy, their habits and ethnography. Thus, on this occasion we will have the opportunity to know in detail everything related to Italy, Indonesia, Russia, Benin or Senegal, as well as groups from the peninsular geography (this year coming from Madrid).

We are delighted to welcome people who visit us, wanting them to feel like at home, especially when it is the first time they are with us, and always expecting that they will get a pleasant impression of the Villa de Ingenio and its people.

The festival is enriched with the Campus

of Ethnography and Folklore directed by the ULPGC, which will deal with aspects related to the Canary Academy of the Language or the Centenary of the Birth of Cesar Manrique, among others.

We encourage our neighbours and those who visit us for the event to contribute with their presence to the various ac-tivities scheduled, to keep our festival remains as an important milestone in the cultural landscape of our country.

En el debate entre la pura innovación y el

asiento en las tradiciones como sostén de la cultura podemos convenir con el eminente lingüista ruma-no Eugenio Coseriu en su

consideración de que ”quien en el ámbito de una ciencia cultural ignora o rechaza delibe-radamente toda la tradición y dice solo cosas nuevas, no dice nada culturalmente válido, ya que no responde a una exigencia de la comunidad correspondiente y no se inserta en la cultura a la que pretende contribuir”.

El denodado empeño del colectivo promotor del festival internacional de folklore, Coros y Danzas de Ingenio, por difundir lo que de forma oral se ha transmitido por nuestros ancestros obedece al intento ajeno a la pura innovación tan en boga en muchos ámbi-tos. Las actividades desarrolladas en este contexto responden al propósito de construir nuestra identidad a partir de la difusión fiel de nuestras tradiciones. El Campus de Et-nografía y Folklore de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria es buena muestra de ello, sirviendo como referente patrimonial y permitiendo la cohesión sociocultural y poniendo en valor las tradiciones propias a la vez que sirviendo de nexo para abrazar la gran diversidad de tradiciones que emanan de distintas latitudes incluso recónditas del planeta.

El conocimiento de la cultura junto al respeto por las tradiciones de los otros son garantía para la convivencia pacífica y el entendimien-to entre los pueblos, muchas veces pertur-bada por actitudes de superioridad que son germen de conflicto entre etnias y naciona-lidades. Conocer, reconocer y respetar la

diversidad cultural mutua es la manera de sentar las bases para un diálogo construc-tivo en las diferentes culturas de los pueblos.

El Festival Internacional de Folklore en este contexto, trata humildemente, lejos de pre-tensiones de ostentación en su manifesta-ción cultural, establecerse no como un lujo cultural sino como una necesidad en esta sociedad cosmopolita, multirreligiosa y mul-ticultural.

Uno de los objetivos fundamentales del Campus de Etnografía y Folklore es poner en valor la idiosincrasia de cada pueblo, pero además servir como fuente de investigación y análisis de aspectos cualitativos, compor-tamientos de los individuos, así como de sus relaciones sociales y sobre el contexto en que se desarrollan. Las conclusiones que puedan derivarse pretende que sean acica-te para nuestros jóvenes que son nuestro principal valor y activo como pueblo, con el convencimiento de que lucharán por una sociedad más justa. Todas las actividades plurales que se desarrollan al socaire del fes-tival comparten en su esencia una apuesta por la cultura, la paz, con la sensibilización, en torno a los derechos de inclusión de los seres humanos, con una visión especialmen-te solidaria en relación con la realidad de la inmigración que tan de cerca nos toca.

En esta edición nos enorgullece dar carta de naturaleza y hacer mención especial al museo del Festival Internacional fruto de la estrecha colaboración entre el Ayuntamiento de Ingenio y el colectivo de Coros y Dan-zas, en un intento de dar cabida y divulgar diferentes elementos donados a la organiza-ción por los diferentes grupos que nos han visitado durante nuestra larga trayectoria. Esperamos y deseamos que se convierta en punto de encuentro, fuente de conocimiento, así como centro de actividades investigativas referentes al patrimonio cultural intangible y etnográfico de Canarias.

Tras más de dos décadas de este Festival, en esta ocasión se nos sugiere importante una profunda reflexión en torno a su continui-dad: Cada edición del Festival Internacional de Folklore, es una apuesta por la valoración del patrimonio cultural inmaterial, es un com-promiso social con la comunidad que acuna esta festividad, es un legado que se hereda y se transmite a las nuevas generaciones, es una llamada de atención a quienes detentan el poder, es un reconocimiento a la diversi-dad cultural. Cada actividad desarrollada está encaminada a fortalecer las bases y las raíces que dan vida y son cimiento a esta festividad.

Plantear una propuesta de salvaguarda para evitar el desgaste organizativo y generacional es un aspecto importante para un evento de estas características, pero sin duda alguna, se debe resaltar que, un bien como el festi-val, con todos los elementos que lo integran, sólo podrá salvaguardarse y perpetuarse en el tiempo, a través del impulso, la valoración y el apoyo que reciba tanto de sus organi-zadores y comunidad local, pero principal-mente el de las administraciones que enal-tezcan el arte y cultura, más allá de intereses políticos, y que vean en este encuentro un punto de convergencia hacia la educación, la investigación, la promoción y transmisión del patrimonio cultural inmaterial.

WELCOMEFROM THE DIRECTORWithin the debate between innovation

and traditions as culture’s basis we can agree the brilliant Romanian linguistic Eugenio Coseriu when he says “who de-liberately ignores every tradition in culture sphere and only refers to new things, do not say anything culturally valid, as they neither respond to the community’s demand nor

insert themselves in the culture they aim to contribute to.”

The relentless work of the organising associ-ation, Coros y Danzas de Ingenio, to spread what has been passed on orally by our as-cendants is due to the attempt for innovating in various ambits. The activities developed in this context seek to strengthen our identity starting from the diffusion of our traditions. The ethnographic and folkloric Campus of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a good sign of it, serving as heritage refer-ent, allowing the sociocultural cohesion, and stressing the value of the own traditions while becoming a nexus to embrace the great di-versity of traditions that come from the fur-thest corners of the world.

The knowledge of culture, alongside the re-spect for others’ traditions, is a guarantee for the pacific coexistence and the understand-ing between peoples, which many times are obscured because of attitudes of superiority that represent the germ of conflicts between races and nationalities. Knowing, acknowl-edging and respecting the mutual cultural diversity is the way to create the constructive dialogue in the different peoples’ cultures.

In this sense, the International Festival of Folklore works with humility and far from os-tentation in its cultural manifestation, estab-lishing the culture not as a luxury but as a need in this cosmopolitan society.

One of the main objectives of the ethno-graphic and folkloric campus is highlighting the idiosyncrasy of every people, but also serving as a source of research and analysis about qualitative aspects of individuals’ be-haviours, as well as of their personal relations and the context in which these are embed-ded. The conclusions that here can be drawn pretend to serve the young people, our greatest asset, convinced that they will fight for a fairer society. All the activities that take place during the Festival share a bet for the

culture, the peace, the and awareness about the rights of inclusion of the human beings, through the lens of solidarity in relation with the migration reality we can see everyday.

In this edition, we can proudly refer to the museum of the International Festival, result of the close collaboration between the Ingenio Town Hall and Coros y Danzas de Ingenio, in an attempt of collecting and showing differ-ent element that have been donated to the organization by the visiting groups through-out the already long Festival’s history. We hope that it becomes a point of gathering, source of knowledge, as well as an important centre of activities for the cultural and ethno-graphic heritage of the Canary Islands.

After more than two decades of Festival, in this occasion we have got to a significant thought about its continuity: every edition of the International Festival of Folklore is a bet of the immaterial cultural heritage, it is a social commitment with the community that live this event, it is a legacy that is passed to the new generations, it is a call for attention to those in power, it is an acknowledgement to the cultural diversity. Every activity developed is carried out to strengthen the roots that give life – the basis of this Festival.

Asking for a guarantee to avoid the erosion of the organization and generations is an impor-tant element for an event of these character-istics, but it also must be stressed that, such a value like the Festival, with all the elements it embodies, only will be guaranteed and perpetuated through the support and com-mitment received both from its organisers and the local community, but especially from the authorities that bet for the art and the culture, beyond partisan interests, and that see in this event a point for the convergence towards the education, research, promotion and transmission of the immaterial cultural heritage.

de la Villa a la embajadas culturales que visita el municipio en el Salón de Plenos del Ayuntamiento de Ingenio.

11:00 h.: Visita guiada por la Villa de In-genio para los grupos participantes.

12:00 h.: Presentación cupón ONCE conmemorativo del Festival. Salón de Plenos del Ayuntamiento de la Villa de In-genio.

20:30 h.: Pasacalles desde La Cantone-ra hasta la Plaza de La Candelaria. En el mismo participarán todos los grupos de la Villa que lo deseen, así como las diferentes embajadas que nos visitan.

Al finalizar el pasacalles, tendrá lugar la actuación de los grupos extranjeros y posteriormente se llevará a cabo la entre-ga de presentes por parte de la organiza-ción a todos grupos.

Viernes, 26 de julio:10:30 h.: Talleres, intercambio de ideas, experiencias, opiniones, etc. entre los componentes de los grupos participantes y el público en general. Ac-tividad abierta a todas las personas que lo deseen en la que se llevará a cabo una exhibición de juegos autóctonos, lucha canaria y juego del palo, en el Campo de Luchas de Los Molinillos.

11:30 h.: “Ven a bailar con los grupos del festival” en la plazoleta de Los Mo-linillos.

20:30 h.: Pasacalles en Carrizal por la Avenida Carlos V hasta el Centro Cívico de Carrizal, en el que participarán todos los grupos que conforman la presente edición. Al finalizar el pasacalles actuarán los grupos visitantes en el Centro Cívico de Carrizal.

El grupo de ballet y teatro « Les Su-per Anges Hwendo Na Bua » de

Benín fue fundado en 1986 por Allade Coffi Adolphe, director coreográfico del Ballet Nacional de Benín, quien comenzó a desvelar su talento en la danza desde sus estudios de Educación Primaria en 1973.

El grupo realiza danzas Vodoun tradicio-nales de Benín además de danzas de la Corte Real y danzas de festejos.

Su enfoque artístico se encuentra en to-tal sintonía con la tradición de su pueblo, ya que reproduce danzas con siglos de antigüedad conocidas por todos los be-nineses.

De hecho, el nombre del grupo «Hwendo

Na Bu a» significa “quien no pier-de las tradiciones” y su trabajo se basa en la voluntad de transmitir la sabiduría de los “AIEUX”, si reto-mamos las pala-bras de Allade Coffi Adolphe.

A pesar de ello, la crea-tividad tam-bién está presente en sus espectá-culos, en los que introducen nuevas coreogra-fías y un amplio vestuario.

This ensemble performs traditional Bendo Vodoun

dances as well as dances of the Royal Court and celebration

dances.

Its artistic approach is in total harmony with the tradition of its people, as it plays old antiques dances known by all Beni-nese.

In fact, the name of the ensemble «Hwendo Na Bu a» means “who does not lose traditions” and its work is based on the will to transmit the wisdom of the “AIEUX”, if we take up the words of Al-lade Coffi Adolphe.

Despite this, creativity is also present in its shows, in which new choreography and a large vestry is introduced.

El grupo de Abanderados “LEONE RAMPANTE” de Cori, fundado en el

lejano 1970, representa con éxito desde hace más de 40 años en todo el mundo el arte antiguo de manejar banderas.

El grupo juega un rol de fundamental importancia en el territorio, brindando a los jóvenes que se han alternado en los años, una serie de oportunidades irre-petibles y de notable importancia bajo diferentes aspectos sobretodo culturales y sociales. Además, dichas actividades favorecen una “transmisión” de gene-ración en generación de todas aquellas antiguas tradiciones de nuestra cultura, ligadas sobre todo al arte del abanderar, en el que Cori es maestra.

La escuela del “Leone Rampante”, que utiliza el tradicional palo de madera, sin

plomo, tradición de la Ciudad de Cori, logró con el tiempo ser conocido en importantes eventos nacionales e inter-nacionales y en la mayoría de los festi-vales folklóricos del mundo. En virtud de sus fastuosos trajes del Rena-cimiento, de los sonidos y de los juegos admirables y fantásticos que los abanderadores saben crear, el grupo recrea como por arte de magia una at-mósfera tradicional de tiempos lejanos y desco-nocidos.

La agrupación “Belogorie” se creó en 1971. El repertorio del conjunto

cultural se basa en canciones populares, bailes de la región de Belgorod y otras regiones de Rusia, bailes de fuego y lí-ricos, silbidos, melodías instrumentales y canciones originales. El grupo incluye danza, coro y grupos instrumentales.

En las actuaciones participan desde 20 hasta 45 personas.

El grupo tiene hasta 8 músicos y 7 tipos de trajes escénicos diferentes.

El conjunto “Belogorye” se convirtió repetidamente en el ganador de presti-giosas competiciones de toda Rusia e internacionales. El grupo viajó por todos los rincones del país, actuando en las mejores salas de conciertos de Rusia.

El Grupo de Coros y Danzas “Fran-cisco de Goya”, comienza su an-

dadura en 1950 y se funda como Aso-ciación en el año 1973, con el ánimo de mantener vivas las manifestaciones del arte popular y perpetuar sus usos y cos-tumbres. En la actualidad está formado por 35 personas, entre bailarines, can-tantes y músicos. Los objetivos generales son la investigación, conservación y difusión del folclore y los valores tradicio-nales de la Comunidad de Madrid.

En su extenso repertorio incluye danzas de dis-tintos puntos de España (Andalucía, Aragón, Casti-lla, Extremadura), pero su principal objetivo se basa en el estudio e interpretación de las Danzas Goyescas y bailes de la Escuela Bolera que al-canzaron gran popularidad en Madrid sobre todo en los siglos XVIII y XIX. Boleros, Fandangos, Tiranas, Segui-dillas, Panaderos y Jaleos, fueron bailadas por los ma-drileños en verbenas, romerías y toda clase de festejos populares. Re-

Estas danzas se bailan con los trajes típicos castellanos,

tos de cuerda: bandurria, laúd y guitarra. El grupo tiene graba-dos tres CDs, de “Música en la Villa y Corte”, obteniendo

elevados elogios de la crítica escrita, tanto por la calidad de la dirección, arreglos e interpretación, como por la fidelidad a las partituras originales.

Manteniendo la pureza del folclore, nuestra Asociación realiza un espectáculo vivo y atractivo. El Grupo par-ticipa en las fiestas patro-

nales de Madrid y pueblos de la provincia. Todos los

años, somos grupo de Danzas seleccionado en las fiestas de San Isidro tanto en la Pradera de San Isidro como en el Par-que de Las Vistillas. Además, colabora con el Ayuntamien-to en otras fiestas y ferias madrileñas, como la “Fiesta de la Vendimia”, “Feria de Alimentaria”, “Fiesta de los

Mayos de Lavapiés”...

Debido a su ubicación entre Europa y África y al dominio durante épo-

cas de diferentes países europeos este país ha podido absorber gran cantidad de elementos de otras culturas, pero su verdadera inspiración fue la cultura afri-cana mostrándose un poco reticente a la integración de elementos musicales más occidentales en su música. El paso de mercaderes y esclavos africanos por las tierras del sur de Marruecos hizo que se adoptaran sus artes, sonidos y danzas. La existencia de los esclavos hizo posible parte de la tradición musical de Marrue-cos, los gnawa. El término procede de ignawen, plural de ignaw, que en la len-gua bereber Tmazight, del sur del país, significa mudo. Con ello se referían a los esclavos negros ya que éstos hablaban idiomas desconocidos para ellos. Hoy

en día la música gnawa se ha convertido en una de las corrientes musicales más importantes del país. El gnawa se refiere a este grupo cultural pero también indica su música y su danza. La música es un repertorio de sus antiguas canciones es-pirituales islámicas africanas combinado con la poesía y el baile. Los instrumentos que utilizan en su música son el guembri o sintir, de tres cuerdas y con sonido de bajo, las grageb, unas castañuelas de metal y el tbel o tambor, que se toca con ayuda de un palo curvo.

Nuestra asociación se fundó en 2010. El grupo está formado por 24 artistas. las actividades han sido múltiples, partici-pando en festivales nacionales e interna-cionales. en Francia 2012 (festival Oujda by Lille). en España: festival de folklore ciudad de Lorca. feria internacional de los pueblos Fuengirola Málaga. en Bélgi-ca: Festival de Folklore Bruselas. The pas-sage of African merchants and slaves through the lands of southern Morocco led to the adoption of their arts, sounds and dances. The existence of the slaves made possible part of the musical tradi-tion of Morocco, the gnawa. The term comes from ignawen, plural of ignaw, which in the Berber language Tmazight, from the south of the country, means mute. By this they referred to black sla-ves since they spoke languages unk-nown to them. Nowadays gnawa music

has become one of the most important musical trends in the country. The gnawa refers to this cultural group but also indi-cates its music and its dance. Music is a repertoire of its ancient African Islamic spiritual songs combined with poetry and dance. The instruments they use in their music are the guembri or sintir, with three strings and with a bass sound, the grageb, some castanets made of metal, and the tbel or drum, which is played with the help of a curved stick.

Our association was founded in 2010 and consists of 24 artists. The activities have been multiple, participating in na-tional and international festivals. In Fran-ce 2012, in the Festival Oujda of Lille; in Spain: Folklore Festival city of Lorca and International fair of the villages of Fuengi-rola (Málaga); and in Belgium in the Fo-lklore Festival of Brussels.

Este ballet folklórico nace en Dakar en el año 2008, dirigido por Ass

Ndiaye, fruto de un ambicioso proyecto de su creador, en el cual se fusionan dos ideas: la de hacer un grupo de folklore estable y a la vez escuela de música y danza. Su sede está en el Centro Cul-tural de Yoff, barrio marinero de Dakar en el cual viven los Lebu, peculiar etnia de pescadores con un idioma y cultura propios. Aquí se crean las coreografías y se llevan a cabo los ensayos.

En este grupo participan jóvenes mú-sicos y bailarines de todas las etnias de Senegal -Wolof, Bambara, Peul, Toutcouleur, etc…- En sus espectácu-los nos presentan las danzas más tra-dicionales de Senegal como el Sabar, Djembe, etc. Pero también coreografías con elementos de danza contemporá-

This folkloric ballet was born in Dakar in 2008, directed by Ass Ndiaye, the

Its headquarters are the Cultural Center of Yoff, a marine district of Dakar where the Lebu live –a peculiar ethnic group of fishermen with their own lan-guage and culture. In this group young musicians and danc-ers from all ethnic groups of Senegal participate - Wolof, Bambara, Peul, Tout-couleur, etcetera-. In their shows they present us the most traditional dances of Senegal like the Sabar, Djembe, etc., but also choreography with elements of contemporary dance, such as “Africa”.

Sus impresionantes danzas combinan movimientos llenos de energía con una espectacular acrobacia, basadas en el ritmo Mbalax. Este ritmo se obtiene con los tambores Sabar, utilizados durante siglos por los Wolof de Senegal.

Este grupo en su corta carrera ha cose-chado prestigiosos galardones, premios y condecoraciones por el rigor en las investigaciones de sus tradiciones y el trabajo realizado en pro de su cultura y su etnografía.

Thanks to the art of dance we find here the meaning of the name of the group, “Jammu”, which means “Peace”. In it all the African peoples are reflected in har-mony, shaking hands in a symbolic ges-ture of union and love between brothers.

Its impressive dances combine move-ments full of energy with spectacular ac-robatics, based on the Mbalax rhythm. This rhythm is obtained with the Sabar drums, used for centuries by the Wolof of Senegal.

Throughout its short career, this group has received prestigious awards and acknowledgements for the rigor in the investigations of its traditions and the work done in favour of its culture and ethnography.

A. F. TACOREMIEsta Agrupación fue fundada en septiembre de 1999, con pensamiento de integrarse en el mundo del folklore con un repertorio de canciones y bailes tradicionales de las islas. Lucen la vestimenta de campesinos de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Cuenta con dos cuerpos de baile, uno de adultos y otro infantil, formados por 59 componentes.

They wear the gear of peasantas of final of the XIX century and princi-ples of the XIX century. They have two dance groups: one of adults and other infantile: and at the present time it is formed by 59 members

A. F. LAS MAHORERASFundada en 1973. Su presidenta es Dña. María Jesús López Rodríguez (Conchita), que dirige a su vez la dan-za de la agrupación, siendo el director musical D. Dionisio Alemán López. El grupo lo componen unas 50 personas, con edades comprendidas entre los 3 y los 80 años. El vestuario es variado, de diversas épocas. Tienen un to-tal de 6 grabaciones (3 en cinta cassette y 3 en cd). Han participado en diversas grabaciones en televisión y radio, festival nacional e internacional, homenajes, romerías, etc. Las Mahoreras es también Asociación Cultural, y durante el año organiza talleres de música y danza, Belén Viviente, Encuentro Cultural Canario-Saharaui, homenajes a perso-nas relevantes, etc.

A. F. LAS MAHORERASFounded in 1973, its president is Mrs María Jesús López Rodríguez (Conchita), who directs the dance section of the group, and Mr Dionisio Alemán López is the music rec-tor. The group is composed by 50 members, between 3 and 80 years old. The costumes are varied from television, national and international festivals, tributes, pilgrimages, etc. Mahoreras is also a cultural association and during the year they orrganise music and dance workshops, liv-ing Nativity scenes, Canary-saharan cultural encounters , tributes to relevant people, etc.

COROS Y DANZAS DE INGENIOCoros y Danzas de Ingenio (1949-2019), grupo decano, pro-cedente de la extinta Sección Femenina, verdadero baluarte de tradiciones, contando con escuelas de bailes tradicionales y artesanía. Embajador internacional en continentes: Europa, África, Asia y América (Laponia-Finlandia, San Antonio-Texas, Plaza Roja-Moscú, etc.). Ha rescatado arcaísmos como la Isa de la Paría, Polkas (Capotín, Artesano), Sorondongo, etc. Cuenta con el nombre de una calle en nuestro municipio. Ha actuado ante los Príncipes de España, de Noruega y el pre-sidente de China. Cuenta con los reconocimientos: Roque Nublo de Plata del Cabildo de G.C., El Vaticano, SS.MM. los Reyes, entre otros. Coros y Danzas de Ingenio, cuna del folklo-re local y velador de tradiciones.

A. F. GUAYADEQUELa Agrupación Folklórica Guayadeque comienza en los años 1974-75 a impartir clases de música y baile. En la actualidad consta de unos 60 miembros. La vestimenta se asimila a la que antiguamente se usaba en Carrizal, destacándose las telas de dril, percal, muselina, lino, hilo y lana. El vestuario actual fue pre-sentado el 18 de febrero de 1995.

COROS Y DANZAS DE INGENIOCoros y Danzas de Ingenio (1949-2016), decan group, coming from the extinct Sección Femenina, true rampart of traditions, having schools of traditional dances and craft, in-ternational ambassador in continents: Europe, África, Asia and America (Lapoland-Finland, San Antonio-Texas, Red Square-Moscow, etc.) rescuing archaisms like Isa de la Pa-ría, Polkas (capotín, ärtisan), sorondongo, etc. There is a street with our name in our municipality, perfomances for the princes fvrom Spain, from Norway, president of China, Silver Roque Nublo of the Town Council of G.C., recognition of the Vatican, SS.MM. the spanish Kings, among merits. Coros y Danzas de Ingenio, cradle of the local folklore and watchman of traditions.

A. F. GUAYADEQUEIt begins work between 1974-75, teaching musvic and dancing lessons. Nodaways it is formed by 60 members. The costumes used are similar to the ounes used formely in Carrizal, using a diversity of fabrics such as linen, wool, muslin, ercvale or drill. the present costume was presented on 18th february 1995.

PARRANDA ACB AMIGOS DEL CARRIZALLa Asociación Cultural y de Baile Amigos del Carrizal 7 Islas se fundó en el año 2017 sien-do el director Manuel Girón Hernández y el de la rondalla Antonio Guedez Caballero, tenien-do su sede en la Asociación de Vecinos de La Capellanía (Carrizal). Actualmente somos cincuenta componentes de diferentes edades entre niños, jovenes y mayores.

PARRANDA ACB AMIGOS DEL CARRIZALThe “Asociacion Cultural y de Baile Ami-gos del Carrizal 7 Islas” was founded in the year 2017 being the director Manuel Girón Hernández and Antonio Guedez Caballero the rondalla director. Its headquarters in at the Association of Neighbors of La Capellanía (Carrizal). Currently we are fifty components of different ages between children, young and old.


Hace ya 20 años, el calado de Ingenio sorprendió a la población con el lanzamiento de su pri-mera inserción en prendas de vestir que cautivaron por su originalidad. Cuando en 1999 se dan los primeros pasos en el mundo de la Moda, con 56 caladoras y con el reto de apostar por una MODA sublime, es lo que a la Asociación de Caladoras de Ingenio animó a poner en valor a un “producto diferente”.

Es increíble lo rápido que ha pasado el tiempo cuando se disfruta de lo que se hace, y ese es el claro ejemplo de las colecciones que se mues-tran en esta exclusiva pasarela.

Describir el calado no es simplemente hablar de una labor artesanal. Describir el calado va mu-cho más allá. El crecimiento del CALADO que se ha visto latente en los últimos años, ha de-mostrado que va dirigido a un público exquisito.

La visión del CALADO, y en concreto de la Moda Calada, ha superado los límites de una tradición, pues es elevarla a categoría de arte y diseño.

a craft. Describing it goes much further. The growth of Calado art that has been latent in recent years, has been proved to aim an exquisite audience. The vi-sion of Calado, and specifically of Moda Calada, has surpassed the limits of a tradition, elevating it to the category of art and design. The 2019 edition, which will take place on September 28, 2019, at 21:00h in Plaza de la Candelaria, will show on its 20th birthday dresses that have something to express, but, above all, to excite. Con estas populares y célebres letras de Bertolt Bre-cht recordamos especialmente a José Pulido San-

tana, ligado a este Festival durante 23 años consecutivos, como presentador de las diversas actividades de cada edición, y que nos dejaba en este 2019.

Comunicador, gran apasionado del fútbol y amante del teatro, vinculado estrechamente con la vida social, reli-giosa, deportiva y cultural de su pueblo. Destacada y reconocida fue su pasión y afición por los medios de co-municación por medio de los cuales, especialmente de la televisión y de la radio, logró colarse en muchos hogares

y ganarse el cariño y la admiración de muchos.

Pero Pepín, como cariñosamente se le conocía, desta-caba por su predisposición, colaboración, generosidad y por su carácter afable, con los que dejó su impronta en la sociedad y en las actividades en las que participaba. Por todo ello, desde Coros y Danzas de Ingenio y desde el equipo humano del Festival, un abrazo fraternal para su familia y con cariño y admiración, decimos HASTA SIEM-PRE, José Pulido Santana.

También quisiéramos tener en el recuerdo a quienes en algún momento de este incansable camino han acompa-ñado con sus pasos esta tarea, coadyuvando a que este Festival siga su andadura. Gracias por siempre: Aurora Cruz Vega, Carmelo Gil Espino, Librada Estupiñán Sán-chez y Yurena González Sánchez.

Communicator, great passionate of football and lover of theatre, closely linked with the social, religious, sports and cultural life of his people. Outstanding and recognized was his passion and love for the media through which,

especially television and radio, managed to get into many homes and to win the love and admiration of many.

But Pepin, as he was affectionately known, stood out for his willingness, collaboration, generosity and for his kind nature, to whom left his mark on society and the activities in which he participated. For all this, from Coros y Danzas de Ingenio and from the human team of the Festival, a fraternal embrace for your family and with affection and admiration, we say FAREWELL, José Pulido Santana.
