A voluptuous wine full of supple tannins, sweet wild fruits and lightly charred plums. The finish is elegant and the sweet, spicy black fruits and smoky toasted undertones are enjoyed

long after the wine is finished.

Stellenbosch, South Africa

Saxenburg.co.za

Africa was a wild and untamed place when Joachim Sax first made his way up to the hills above the Kuils River, some30 Kilometres east of the Dutch settlement at the “Cape of Good Hope”. The year was 1693, and Sax was one of only 350 ‘free buyers” granted land by the 9th Dutch Governor, Simon van der Stel. Together with his wife Susanna, Sax had arrived some two years before his native town of Egln in Germany. He immediately set about planting vines and built the original manor house in 1701. Four years later he sold the farm to Olaff and Albertus Bergh. The name Saxenburg developed from these early pioneers. Almost three centuries were to pass before the historic farm was acquired by the buhrer family from Switzerland – Adrian, his wife birgit and their children. They along with close working team, have revived the proud family tradition of Saxenburg’s historic past.

En Primeur Wines

“EN PRIMEUR” is a French wine trade term for wine which is sold as a ‘future', i.e. before it is bottled.

- The buying of wines at its very first offering price - Wines purchased during the En Primeur offer period will be noticeably lower than after

they are bottled

- En Primeur wines can possibly be a great investment as the value of wines may increase by the folds in 2 years from En Primeur to its release date

- Purchasing wines during En Primeur is probably the only way to secure premium wines at a reasonable price before the price is influenced by the market.

- En Primeur wines will only be delivered after one and a half to two years from the offer - From the time the En Primeur is offered, all payments must be paid in full within the 30

days after the order is made

Fine Wines

Other than our extensive portfolio of agency wines, CornerStone also offers a wide selection of fine wines for investors and connoisseurs alike.

Our selection of fine wines feature some of the very best grand cru wines as well as premium labels from regions all over the world such as Italy, Spain, USA, Chile, Rhone and the rest of France.

For our latest En Primeur and Fine Wine List, please contact our Relationship Managers who will be glad to assist you.
