complement your meal whilst watching the whales play mere metres away.

This wine list has been created to show-case some of the best local wines

that our region has to offer.

We offer a varied selection of wines by the glass, affording you the opportunity to

experience the different cultivars either on its own or to experiment with

various food courses. Be sure to look at our food and wine pairing guide.

Guests are not allowed to bring any alcohol, beverages or food onto the premises.

Please note that we have an on consumption liquor licence which prohibits you from leaving the

premises with a open bottle of alcohol. All alcoholic drinks must be consumed on the property.

Ken Forrester Old Vine Reserve 2017 New 2018 Vintage in November Stellenbosch, Helderberg 70 100% Chenin Blanc. Golden hued, dry full bodied, with melon and spicy baked apple aromas. Layered, with mineral notes

enhanced by honeycomb and caramel flavours from lees contact. A harmonious balance of fruit and delicate oak/vanilla flavours.

Attractive lemony yellow-green colour with a complex nose of citrus, peach, tropical fruit and mineral tones. The palate is long

Ernst Gouws & Co 2016 Stellenbosch 55 Vibrant citrus flavours coupled with gentle light-oaking. Expressive notes of tangy apricot and toasted nuts, it presents balanced

Ataraxia 2017 New 2018 Vintage in September Western Cape 64 This wine favours individuality and minerality ahead of pure, pungent fruit, alluring white stone fruit, citrus and lemongrass aromas

Southern Right 2017 Walker Bay 60 A tight, complex wine with a classic minerality and length, balancing the ripe fruit.

Oak Valley Fountain Of Youth 2018 Groenlandberg-Elgin 52 Aromas of passion fruit, white peach and litchi with a slight herbaceous undertone. Flavours of passion fruit persist on the palate,

particularly granadilla, lemons, white pear, gooseberry and a lovely saline finish that reminds one of fresh oyster shells or sea salt.

and lemon blossom - chic yet convivial. On the palate mineral hints with zesty flavours of strawberry, raspberry and cherry.

Durbanville Hills 2017 Durbanville Hills 36 100% Merlot. Hints of raspberries and strawberry dusted with rose petals. Refreshing and light-bodied dry wine with an

abundance of fresh summer berries on the palate and berry compote.

UNWOODED RED BLEND

Ashbourne Pinotage/Cinsault 2018 Swartland 99 A Pinotage with a youthful, fresh, fruit purity untarnished by any wood influence. Blending in 20% Cinsault adds a lovely, tight and

bright freshness to the wine. This wine has a clean aromatic and flavour complexity, without structural density or bigness.

An unusually versatile companion at the table - chilled or otherwise.

MERLOT

Durbanville Hills 2015 Durbanville Hills 54 Combination of ripened and dark fruit, rich dark chocolate, sweet wood spice with hints of plum and cassis. A medium bodied

Merlot accentuated by flavours of soft sweet red and dark fruit, rounded off with silky tannins and a full mouth feel.

SHIRAZ / SYRAH

Vondeling Baldrick Shiraz 2017 Voor-Paardeberg 49 The wine displays a deep scarlet and purple colour. Lovely floral notes of cherry blossom, rose petals and violets on the nose.

Beautifully infused with sweet cinnamon, cloves, truffle and coriander. Nicely rounded with soft tannins. Full of plump juicy plums,

subtle pepper, rich smoky cigar and roasted black olives and other exotic spices. A versatile, vibrant and relatively full-bodied wine.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Springfield Whole Berry 2016 Robertson 94 A luscious and juicy wine, with as little intervention in the cellar as possible. Simply de-stemmed, the whole, uncrushed bunches are

transported using only a gravity flow system. Whole berry maceration is followed by fermentation with natural yeasts, racking and

one year’s maturation in oak barrels. The result is a velvety wine with softer tannins and classical varietal characteristics.

This traditional wine is unfiltered and unfined, which may deposit sediment and might require decanting. Deliciously smooth and

velvety in texture and full of juicy cassis, mint and plum flavours.

PINOT NOIR

Mr P Knows by Iona 2017 Elgin 68 Beautiful ripe strawberries, raspberries, cranberries and sweet spice on the nose, with subtle hints of forest floor and wild mushrooms.

The wine is fresh with vibrant acidity and a long textured, savoury finish. It is an excellent combination of Old meets New World!

PINOTAGE

Zonnebloem 2016 Stellenbosch 56 The deep ruby red colours belie the perfect balance which runs through every facet of this wine. Chocolate and red berries

culminate in an exciting palate, painstakingly crafted from the moment of conception through to the final sip to create a classic

Pinotage, elegant, rich in fruit, and a hint of spice.

This elegant pure Chenin Blanc Noble Late Harvest is filled with aromas of spices and dried fruit. Delicate oak flavours, cinnamon

spice and a lovely acidity keeps the palate fresh.

Nederburg Noble Late Harvest 2017 Durbanville, Paarl 45

Brilliant yellow with hints of gold. On the nose pineapple tangerine, apricot and dried peach. A subtle balance between acid and

sugar with dried fruit and pineapple notes.

Dom Pérignon 2006 Épernay - France 4 107 It is all here so beautifully orchestrated in this incredibly well-balanced and flowing rich symphony. It is so voluptuously charming and

welcoming immediately, but at the same time so complex that the interest in what you will discover in the next gulp never ceases.

A gigantic large and intense aroma, a silk caressing structure and a dazzling grand finale. Notes from the sea, roasted nuts, coffee,

brioche, tropical green fruits, stone fruit, green apples, sweet orange citrus, gunpowder, nougat, mushroom cream and black truffle

are all there like a perfectly tailored tuxedo. Love at first taste.

Möet & Chandon Rosé Impérial (N.V.) Épernay - France 1 598 Rosé Imperial displays a pink colour with amber highlights. Lively and intense, the bouquet exudes red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry,

cherry) with floral nuances of rose and a slight hint of pepper. On the palate, the wine shows a juicy intensity of berries (strawberry,

raspberry, redcurrant) rounded out by the fleshiness and firmness of peach and the freshness of a subtle note of mint.

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Yellow Lable (N.V.) Reims - France 1 525 Yellow Label manages to reconcile two opposing factors - strength and silkiness - and to hold them in perfect balance with aromatic

intensity and a lot of freshness. Tiny golden yellow bubbles, bursting with fruity aromas of peach, Mirabelle plums and pears.

On the palate toasty brioche and vanilla.

Ernst & Co Nineteenfiftytwo 2016 Stellenbosch 242 A carefully balanced blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon opens to a rich and creamy nose enhanced by a delicious apricot and

lime blossom fragrance and a touch of smoke. A harmony between grassy aromas and bright grapefruit that envelops the palate;

displaying a crisp acidity coupled with a satisfying buttery fullness. The blend culminates in a focused and persistent dry citrus finish.

Creation Cool-Climate 2018 Only available in Oct 2018 Walker Bay 363 The most delicate shade of wild primrose with tinges of lime playing hide-and-seek in the glass. A bouquet of gentle ginger, tender

tomato leaf, apple skin and honeycomb casts the first spell. On the palate the magic unfolds with crispy quince and fresh green

apple flirting with the smoothness of coconut milk in the background. A cool-climate Chenin Blanc as remarkable in its purity as it is in

Nederburg Heritage Heroes The Anchorman 2016 Darling, Wellington, Franschhoek 335 Chenin (85 %) and Grenache Blanc (15 %). Reminiscent of ripe fruits, especially apricots and oranges, with floral hints and traces of

raisin and spice. Well-balanced, fresh and fruity with a beautiful minerality and an excellent structure.

Hamilton Russell Estate 2017 Hemel-en-Aarde Valley 845 Tight, dry, complex mineral character and length balancing a rich, viscous palate.

A classic terroir driven wine, rated one of the top 20 Chardonnays in the world and the Top White Wine in South Africa.

Iona 2016 New 2017 Vintage August 2018 Elgin 575 Stylish and Burgundian with lime and lemon undertones. Bright citrus, oyster shell minerality with a hint of almonds and biscuit brioche

on the finish. Beautiful floral notes and bright fresh acidity persist.

Ataraxia 2016 New 2017 Vintage October 2018 Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge 509 Expressive grapefruit, white peach, ripe pear, grilled hazel nut aromas and flavours. The palate is penetrating and profound

yet graceful and poised. Classic length, creaminess and intriguing complexity define this stylish, world class Chardonnay.

Creation 2017 New 2018 Vintage January 2019 Walker Bay 363 Straw yellow with attractive glints of green. On the nose glorious layers of sun-kissed pear and peach are enhanced by

fresh minerality and a hint of piquant vanilla. The full-bodied palate is in perfect harmony, generously fruity and subtly spicy.

Newton Johnson Southend 2016 Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley 346 Crisp and articulate. A potent aura of ripe limes and lime peel, brightened with ginger and almost jasmine-like florality. Compact fruit

core in the mouth with honeydew succulence. The clean acidity holds throughout the palate into the powdery, dry finish.

Bouchard Finlayson Crocodile’s Lair “Kaaimansgat” 2016 Overberg 339 Deliciously complex with fresh crisp fruit flavours. Gooseberry, sweet melon, Jasmine and rose petal all combine to build on layers of

this taste discovery with nutty and creamy components.

Vergelegen Premium 2016 Stellenbosch 290 Attractive lemony yellow-green colour with a complex nose of citrus, peach, tropical fruit and mineral tones.

The palate is long and full with delicate wooding. Beautifully refined and elegant.

Vondeling 2017 Voor-Paardeberg 238 Lemon and pale straw colour. This wine has an inviting nose of honeyed citrus, potpourri and peach blossoms with a subtle hint of

beeswax. A full bodied, gentle palate with fresh, chalky citrus, yellow flowers, candied almonds and ginger spice.

Oak Valley Beneath The Clouds 2017 Groenlandberg- Elgin 225 This Chardonnay expresses generous lemon-citrus aromas, almonds, oyster shell and flint. This fresh lemon-citrus follows on the palate

with ruby grapefruit as the dominant character. Lovely full mid-palate with the citrus fruits supported by sweet zesty spice.

This will please those who enjoy wooded, but fresher -styled Chardonnays.

Ernst Gouws & Co 2016 Stellenbosch 188 Intense and forthcoming, lightly wooded with typical aromas of fresh almonds, peach and orange peel. There is a subtle hint

of vanilla spice and toffee on the nose. A creaminess and touch of minerality on the palate shows complexity and elegance.

Sip it and you will pick up the paired notes of Juniper and Wild Lavender that introduce the Karoo. What follows is a fresh medley

of citrus including Limes, Clemengold and farm grown Lemon Buchu. Cassia, Chamomile and Angelica bind the heart of the Gin
