CORE: the Computer Club, Robodexterous: the Robotics Club and
Axiom: the Mathematics Club of Delhi Public School, Dwarka are
organizing CORE 6 and Axiom 2013 – The Annual Inter-School
Technology and Mathematics Symposium, on 30, 31 October & 01
November 2013. After the huge success of our last five events, we once
again invite your school to participate and contribute in making this
year's event even more successful.
Your school is required to register through the enclosed Registration
Form or through the school website (www.dpsdwarka.com) latest by
24th October 2013.
The Rules and Regulations, Schedule and other details are enclosed
herewith. We look forward to your whole-hearted participation of your
school in the event.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
• All schools must report on time for registration.
• To compete for the CORE Overall Trophy it is mandatory to
participate in at least 10 CORE events.
• To compete for the Axiom overall trophy, a school must participate
in all Axiom events.
• In case of a tie, for the overall position, the team with the highest
number of winning positions shall get the trophy
• The schedule and the rules are subject to last minute changes.

We do not believe in conventional web designing. Yet again, we are
only going to test pure HTML5 and CSS3.

The preliminary round will consist of a JAM (Just a minute) session. Six participants will
qualify for the final group discussion.

A test of clean and skillful aesthetics.

ANDROID DEVLOPMENT
Pre-requisite: Participants should know how to compile/decompile an ‘apk’ file,
using scripted tweaks and working with the systemUI and framework. The required
cmd-apk tool will be provided.

Eligibility: Open.
ROBODEX (SENIOR)
Maze:
Each team has to drag a metal ball (radius 2.5 cm, weight approx. 500 g) from the
starting of a maze to the finish line while maneuvering the robot over and around
the obstacles placed inside the maze. The team which crosses the maze in the
shortest time duration shall win.
Eligibility: X-XII.
Participants: One team of two members.
Restrictions:
Max Voltage: 12V
Max Dimensions: 30cmX30cmX30cm
Max Weight: 4 kg
Maneuvering of the robot manually or using wires will lead to deduction of points.
In case of a tie, the robot having the least weight will win.
ROBODEX (JUNIOR)
Javelin Throw:
The students will be given a metallic ball (approx weight: 520g, radius: 2.5cm) which
has to be thrown away from the given point. The team which manages to throw the
ball to farthest distance of all wins.
Eligibility: VI-IX.
Participants: One team of two members.
Restrictions:
Max Voltage: 12V
Max Dimensions: 30cmX30cmX30cm
Max Weight: 3kg
ROBOWARS
Four teams will compete with each other to stay in the arena by defending
themselves from being taken out by their opponents’ robot. The last team standing
wins. Other than fire, there is no restriction on the means of attack or defense. In
case of a tie, the robot with the least weight will win. Time limit: 10mins
Eligibility: Open.
Participants: One team of two members.
Restrictions:
Max Dimensions: 30cmX30cmX30cm
Max Voltage: 24V
PHOTOGRAPHY
Participants are required to bring their own gear (Laptop, camera, lenses etc.).
However drastic editing is not allowed.
Participants will be judged on the cumulative scores of their photos and a written
quiz.

Problems will be based on Number Theory, Algebra and Combinatorics.

ALGORITHMICS Participants have to design a function f(x) according to the given
problem statement which gives the correct value for all x within the
given limits.

MATHEMATICAL PUZZLES If you have a mathematical bent of mind, this is the place to be!

SYMPOSIUM Participants are required to prepare and present a presentation on any
topic of the pertaining to mathematics.
Eligibility: XI-XII.
Participants: One team of two members.
LOGIC ANALYSE In this three day marathon event, the entire brigade from each school
works on problems laid out level-wise. All levels are of exceptional
toughness. Participants may use all resources available, including the
internet. Hints to some levels may be hidden in previous levels or in
solutions to problems given in other Axiom events.
Eligibility: Open to all who represent their school in at least one other
Axiom event on that day.
