sold in Coral Gables so far this year. At the

same time last year there had only been 271

homes sold. Buyers recognize that now is the

time to buy, and these figures just further my

belief that 2011 will have the highest number

of home sales in Coral Gables on record.

I am seeing a large demand in Coral Gables

right now for turn-key ready homes as well as

updated Old Spanish properties. Buyers who

are purchasing their primary residence are

shying away from homes that need exten-

sive renovation. This is due to the fact that

banks now require a higher down payment

and buyers don’t have as much cash left

over to make upgrades.
