Discovery Flight

From August 10-13th, Victoria Park will come alive with the sounds of

Regina's best alternative to mainstream music. With free

daytime concerts and workshops, an ARTISTS' MARKET with all

sorts of one-of-a-kind stuff, the outdoor ROCK GARDEN with liquids to get your mind racing and your body moving, and a FABULOUS

FOOD COURT with soul nourishing edibles, the Regina Folk Festival is

a full-on experience.

Do you enjoy heights? Do you want to see what Regina looks like from the sky? Then you should sign up for a discovery flight. Space is limited. Talk to your Supports if interested! COR will cover the cost of the 20-minute flight. Space is limited to 3 passengers on each date.

Come join the students, staff, and community members in the monthly pipe ceremony. The pipe ceremony

is a sacred ritual for connecting physical and spiritual worlds.

Do you enjoy walking outside? How about photography?

Meet us at Wascana near the Legislative Building for a walk around the lake while learning about photography. Bring a

camera or a phone!

Pictures taken during this time may be used in the COR calendar.

Walking Photography  

Stop  by  Wascana  Park  on  Canada  Day  and  watch  teams  build  there  own  boats  and  race  across  Wascana  lake.    Date:  July  1st    Race  is  at  2pm.    Price:  FREE  to  watch

Saskatchewan’s  Legislative  Building  is  a  beautiful  and  majestic  landmark  nestled  on  the  shores  of  Regina’s  Wascana  Lake.

   Driving Range Come out and whack some balls! This opportunity is geared towards people who have never swung a golf club before (don’t worry we can help you) to those who are experienced (maybe you can teach us)!

Regina Dragon Boat Festival The 2017 Regina Dragon Boat Festival

has been a long time favourite event for paddlers, residents, and visitors from across Canada. Our city and dedicated volunteers welcome you to Regina’s

beautiful Wascana Park. Come on out and cheer on your COR team!

Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze! Come on out to pick up a pumpkin and try to find your way out of the corn maze! You can also fire the corn cannon! Date: September 22nd

Swimming

This is not a trip to miss! COR will be heading to Moose Jaw to explore the tunnels of Moose Jaw, Burrowing Owls Museum, browsing downtown stores,

going to the Fudge Factory, picnic at Crescent Park, taking in a couple museums and a trolley tour.

Date: May 19th (10am–4pm)

Sick of the heat and need a chance to cool off?

Come out to Regina’s outdoor pools for a refreshing dip in the water.

Dewdney Pool, Maple Leaf Pool, & Evraz Pools are free admission all day!

Wascana, Massey, & Regent Pool are free from 7pm-8pm.

Tye Dye Extravaganza Join us for some tye dye events this summer in the outdoor heat!

Dates: May 18th 2pm & August 17th 6pm

Location: Gerald & Melissa’s House

This year every Saturday in July and

August we are going to send you on an adventure, discovering secret spots in Regina and historical and cultural locations. We will

post a hint or a picture on the Facebook page in the early morning. It’s your job to go out and find the picture or the hint posted and take a picture of yourself in front/with it. Send the picture to Ben or Melissa to have your name entered to win the weekly prize drawn every

Monday!

And Remember: 2 Extra entries for taking the bus, biking or walking to the location for the

summer long Bus Challenge!

     

 

   

Ride, Don’t Hide is happening June 25th.

Ride Don't Hide is a community bike ride hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association with the goal to raise awareness and help break the

stigma surrounding mental health.

Wascana Trails and enjoy lunch at the Snack Shack. The trails are wide

and well-groomed for walking, running, and biking. Bring cash for

Festival Enjoy watching the Queen City Highland Dance Championships

Cathedral Village Arts Festival

Come celebrate community, inspire life, and create art.

The six day festival features visual, literary arts, crafts, and performances. It offers professional artists the opportunity to present their work to new

audiences; emerging artists a venue to introduce themselves; and enjoy the art in all of its diversity.

June 1st-3rd Mosaic is an annual three-day event celebrating Regina’s diverse multicultural

communities through food, music, and dance. A single passport allows you three-day access to pavilions scattered throughout Regina.

Echo Valley Day Trip Who doesn't love the beach?

Let’s all enjoy a day of fun in the sun. Bring your towel to enjoy laying in the sand, your bathing suit to enjoy a dip in the lake, and a picnic lunch to enjoy with your friends!

Time: 10am-4pm Meet at the COR office by 9:30AM.

Get together with your friends and enjoy a round of billiards, air hockey, and

board games while socializing with a refreshing cold drink. Friday Evenings from 6:30-9pm throughout the summer will be spent socializing at Patrick &

John’s house.  

Join our special guest Megan to design your very own knot throw pillow.

This art event will be a two-session project and at the end you will get to take your pillow home!

Canada Day Celebration Bring  your  friends  and  family  to  Wascana  Park  and  help  celebrate  Canada’s  Birthday.    Numerous  events  will  be  taking  place  for  you  to  enjoy  throughout  the  day  and  evening,  including:  live  music,  face  painting,  petting  zoo,  dog  shows,  the  plywood  cup,  the  strong  man  competition  and  fireworks.  The  day  will  kick  off  with  the  Annual  21  Gun  Salute  at  11:30  am.    July  1st  -­‐  All  Day  No  need  to  sign-­‐up;  just  let  your  support  know  you  are  interested  in  going!    

Don’t  forget  to  bring  sunscreen  and    money  for  snacks  and  activities!    Fireworks  at  dusk!  

RCMP Sunset Ceremony

Join “Depot” Division for an evening of pride and tradition as it hosts the annual RCMP Sunset-Retreat Ceremonies. The ceremonies start promptly at 6:30pm on the Parade Square and last approximately one hour. Visitors are encouraged to arrive by 6:15pm. The ceremony includes a performance by our cadet marching band, a cannon drill, RCMP cadets performing dismounted cavalry drills in the famous scarlet tunic and the lowering of the Canadian flag.

Disc Golf Adventures Do you enjoy throwing a frisbee

while enjoying the sun with friends? Douglas Park is home to a 18 hole disc golf course! Come give it a try

or come for a walk with friends

Every  Wednesday  come  on  out  to  Victoria  Park  and  bring  a  blanket  or  chairs  and  some  yummy  snacks!  

Plan  to  arrive  earlier  so  you  can  get  a  great  spot.
