FDT Technology

What is FDT?What is FDT?Standard for device integration in software systems

FDT = Field Device Tool

FDT is a standardised interface specification

FDT defines the interface between– FDT frame application– DTM = Device Type Manager

FDT is based on Microsoft COM and XML technology

What is FDT Technology?

FDT is the standard technology which is independent from devices or system vendors.

DTM can be applied to any devices, such as sensors, actuators remote I/O, drives and so on.

FDT supports current investment.

FDT supports all functions of device.

FDT is independent from any communication protocols such as HART, Profibus, and FOUNDATION Fieldbus and so on.

FDT can handle multiple protocols.
