1_I will learn something neweveryday. This could be designrelated, or general learning. This could be practical learn-ing, trying new techniquesand methods or readingetc. This relates to the PPPmodule.2_I will improve my presenta-

tion techniques. From photog-raphy that I use on my blog, module hand-ins and spokenpresentations.

3_I will nd a new designer/art-ist work daily. This will allowme to improve my scope/knowledge on the subject.4_I will follow more self-direct-ed projects. This will help meimplement the new tech-niques I will be learning.5_

I will draw more. I need toimprove my drawing skills,it is a big weakness in mydesign work. I have madesteps to improve this duringthe Design Process module. Iwill continue to practice my

    drawing daily.

6_Ask questions. Sounds simple, but asking questions ratherthan running to google.Essentially, vary researchmethods.7_Work, work, work. There isno avoiding the fact that toimprove, I need to do morework. I need to read more, see

more, design more, go to moreplaces. Generally work my assoff from now until the end ofmy life.

    1. From my experience this year I havemade a list of concise points I thinkare relevant to my design practice.

    2. Be nice to people. I think if yourdesign is good and you make your self

approachable people will approachyou with various opportunity. Morepeople will approach you then some-one who is also good but intimidating.

3.Be your own person. It is good to getfeedback and advice but if you reallyfeel strongly about something makeyour own decision. Whats the worst

    that can happen.

    4. Try something new. Whether it bemediums, media and or techniques. The more you explore the more expe-rience you will have.

    5. Make lists. Lots of people say makinglists is good and I agree. Once you cansee what needs to be done writtendown personally it makes whats needsto be done manageable. Also crossingthings off the list like your name is

    Earl is very very satisfying.

    6. Try not to worry. This bit of theory Igot from the lm Oldboy. People are

only scared of something if they im-agine or picture the consequences ornegative result of the occurring action. If something is worth worrying aboutdo what you can. If you have done

something about it and there is noth-ing else you can possibly do, dismiss itfrom your mind.

    7. Travel and experience. Try and builta wealth of interesting experiences, hobbys, relationships, cultures, coun-trys. This serves as inspiration and isalso fun. If you worked everyday atyour desk your work would be shit.

    9. Try and keep a visual diary. I general-ly forget what I get up to, not becauseits boring, just because my memory isrubbish. I think photography is a goodway of keeping a visual diary.

10.Set yourself goals. Long term goalsand short term goals. For example,

short term goal - get your work or blogyou follow. Long term goal - get yourwork published in a printed publica-tion.

    2. Stop worrying about every-thing! Worrying solves nothing!Do something. Do as much as youcan but dont worry!

    3. Dont be afraid to fail! Its notembarrassing to fail, it shows your

not afraid to take a risk. Have theballs to do what you want. Experi-ment with design and break therules. The best designers thinkoutside the box. Learn from yourmistakes.

    4. Keep travelling, Keep expe-riencing different cultures andenvironments. Keep gettinginspired by the world around you.Leave the past behind and move

    forward.

    5. Work with people. Being adesigner is a social amusementpark. Collaborate, Collaborate,Collaborate. Work with as many

people from as many differentbackgrounds as you can. Work to-

gether and bounce ideas off eachother, inspire each other.

6.Learn something new every dayand keep a diary of everything!Take a photo every day and makea visual diary!

    7. BE KIND to people and treatothers how i want to be treated.Good things happen from kind-ness. Aim to do at least one kinddeed every day. Keep the good

    karma on my side.

    8. Make lists. Set goals and plansregularly from what i want toachieve! wether that is daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.
