By telephone:

Over the phone bookings will be taken for Dry Courses, NPLQ, Rookie Lifeguard,

Baby Water Confidence and Adult Swimming Lessons from 9.00am on the day of

enrolment. Full payment must be made at the time of booking.

Online bookings:

Online bookings for swim lessons can be made from 10.00pm on Saturday 30th Au-

gust. Phone bookings for Youth Swimming Lessons will not be taken until Tuesday

2nd September from 9.00am - full payment must be made at the time of booking.

There will be a one week break week commencing 27th Oct

*All applicants must be between 8 - 11 years old. Level 6 swimmer in

Cookstown Swim Academy or be able to swim 50m of 3 recognised strokes.

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Enrolling from 9.00am on Sat 30th August Saturdays 9.00am - 1.00pm. Duration 12 weeks.

Swim test 6th September at 9.00am. Course commences Sat 20th September.

Applicants must be over 16 years old and undergo a test on your ability to:

Jump / dive into deep water

Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds

Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water

Tread water for 60 seconds

Surface dive to the floor of the pool

Climb out unaided without ladder / steps and where the pool design permits

All children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 16.

The following table outlines the child / parent responsible person ratio:

3 children aged 4 - 7 : 1 adult / responsible person

2 Children under 4 : 1 adult / responsible person

Main Pool

1 child under 4 : 1 adult / responsible person

2 children aged 4 - 7 : 1 adult / responsible person

User Safety

It is recommended that children under the age of 8 who are not swimmers should

wear armbands or alternative buoyancy aids which comply with BSI Standard

EN13138.

Non Swimmers must remain within shoulder depth water in both pools.

Most children under the age of 4 will be out of their depth at 900mm (deep

end of Learner Pool).

Swim Membership

A three month or 1 year swim membership is now available.

This entitles members to unlimited use of the pools for the

duration of their membership.

1 Year: Youth / Senior £135.00

Adult £175.00

3 Month Youth / Senior £35.00

Please be advised that due to swimming lessons or club use there may be restrictions
