Converting End of Life

Plastic into Diesel

The Cynar Experience

Michael Murray: CEO

History

• Greatest issue in the waste management arena is End of Life Plastic.

• Searched for a solution to End of Life Plastic.

• Initial pilot work on Japanese pyrolysis technology.

• Cynar saw the potential and commissioned a plant.

• Required significant development and investment to get to today.

• Cynar developed a substantial amount of improvements and modifications to the original concept – Cynar now have patented the New Technology.

Outcomes

• First Commercial End of Life plastic to fuel plant was built in Ireland.

• Facility produces Fuels for sale or a single Pyrolysis Oil if required

• Technology was subjected to a thorough process engineering review by Foster Wheeler to improve the process, design and outputs.

• The New plant can process 20 tonnes per day of sorted plastics and will produce over 1.5 million gallons of useable fuel per annum
