Conversion Success Story Paymetric introduces Vantiv’s triPOS for more protection in the age of EMV MBS, a leading technology provider to the textbook industry and college bookstores across the country, has partnered with Paymetric since 2010. MBS originally selected Paymetric for its proprietary tokenization solution to address PCI DSS compliance. During the first phase of partnership, MBS provided bookstores with Paymetric’s patented tokenization solution to ensure payment card information was never stored on-site, helping reduce PCI DSS audit scope. In 2015, like other card present merchants, MBS was faced with the challenge of providing EMV capabilities at the point of sale for its customers. Paymetric introduced its partner for card present transactions, Vantiv Integrated Payments. Vantiv’s triPOS solution supports EMV and point-to-point encryption for cards that are dipped/swiped at a physical point of sale. The solution seamlessly couples with Paymetric’s tokenization solution to provide end-to-end protection of cardholder data as well as PCI DSS scope reduction. Once development was completed, MBS began to roll out and resell the Paymetric and Vantiv solution to its customer base of 500 bookstores. Since the rollout began in 2015, nearly 100 stores have adopted the solution. As Vantiv obtains more certifications, it will be mandatory for all MBS bookstores to utilize this solution. At full rollout, the Paymetric conversion to Vantiv is expected to manage payment processing for over $100 million in payment card volume.
