CONTRACTORS DBE TOOL KIT The attached DBE Contractor’s Tool Kit recognizes the importance of the DBE Program and provides practical guidance to contractors in terms of properly obtaining and utilizing DBE firms in accordance with Program requirements. GDOT is providing this document as an assistive tool only. The provision of this document is not an endorsement by GDOT, nor does it indicate adoption as a policy or procedure. This document shall not supersede any existing GDOT specification or requirement. If any portion of the “Tool Kit” document contradicts or is otherwise in conflict with an existing contract specification, the specification shall apply in all instances.

CONTRACTORS' TOOL K I T
The Associated General Contractors of America, in conjunction with the National Association of Minority Contractors and Women 1st, have developed the tool kit to assist contractors in complying with US Department of Transportation requirements for the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. These requirements apply to US DOT funded contracts, including highway construction projects that are funded through the federal-aid Highway program.
