Dear Colleagues,

Greetings from SCTIMST, Trivandrum! We are planning to conduct a CME under the aegis of the Academy of Clinical Microbiologists. The theme of the CME is “Clinical Microbiology: Diagnostic Approach to Infectious Disease Syndromes”. In this CME, we are planning to revisit the well-known syndromes in infectious diseases and review the newer trends in diagnosis and management. The CME programme will feature multiple plenary sessions with invited guest lectures and oral/poster competition. We cordially invite you all to actively participate, share your observations & experiences to make the event an academic feast.

Abstracts are invited for oral presentations from faculty and residents. Abstracts may be submitted based on the following Themes:

• Pyogenic meningitis• Lower respiratory tract infections• Pyrexia of unknown origin (PUO)• Enteric parasitic infections• Infections in neutropenic cancer patients & • Blood stream infections

The selected abstracts will be included for oral presentation in the respective plenary sessions, after the invited talk. The remaining abstracts will be considered for poster presentation.

The abstracts are to be submitted as per the instructions provided below.Theme, Title, Authors (Presenting author’s name to be underlined. It is mandatory that at least one of the authors of the paper should be an ACM member), Designation, Affiliation. Introduction, Methodology (Original research/Case series/Case report), Results and Conclusion. Word count – 300 (excluding Title, Author name, Designation and Affiliation).Email abstracts to [email protected]
