CONTINUING EDUCATION This journal issue is offered for 2.6 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional areas). Elsevier Ltd. publishes the Journal of Communication Disorders and specialty issues of the Journal published as Clinics in Communication Disorders. Learning objectives that are specific to each article are presented for the CE reader. The educational objectives of the journal are designed to provide SLP/A with current research and applied clinical information about speech, language, and hearing disorders across the lifespan. It is not the intention of the Journal to promote specific products and/or services. The Journal of Communication Disorders has an obligation to identify any potential conflicts of interest and inform readers, so that they are aware of and can evaluate the merits of the research, accordingly. A Compliance Disclosure Statement is completed for each manuscript that is published. Please refer to the Acknowledgement section of each manuscript for such information. A test for each article is printed at the end of a journal issue. Completed tests for an issue are to be returned to the Editor for Continuing Education along with the CE registration form and a check for the CE registration made payable to Elsevier Science Inc./Continuing Education. A completed CE Course Evaluation form is also required with the submission of each set of test questions. The evaluation form is included at the end of each issue. The tests will be scored and results sent to the participant. A minimum score of 80% correct is required to receive CEUs for an issue. Answer sheets for CE credit will not be accepted after December 31st of the publication year. At the end of the journal year, the Editor for Continuing Education will notify ASHA of participant information. Participants who need mid-year notification of continuing education participation may be accommodated upon written request to the Editor for Continuing Education. An annual ASHA CE Registry fee is required by ASHA. CE Registry fees are paid by the participant directly to the ASHA National Office. The annual CE Registry fee ($24.00 for ASHA/NSSLHA members; $34.00 for nonmembers) allows registration of an unlimited number of ASHA CEUs for the calendar year.
