Come, Emmanuel!Scripture Reading and Underscore
Matthew 24:36-44
But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at
the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of
the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the
other left.
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of
Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

O Come to Set Us FreeScripture Reading and Underscore
Isaiah 9:2, 6-7
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those livingin the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over hiskingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from
that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

This ChildScripture Reading and Underscore
Matthew 1:18-23
This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: Hismother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but beforethey came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the
law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appearedto him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraidto take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in heris from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to
give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him
Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

Psalm 98:1-6
Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things;his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.
The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed hisrighteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his
faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvationof our God.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song withmusic; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the
sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—shoutfor joy before the Lord, the King.

What Child Is This?Scripture Reading and Underscore
Luke 2:15-20
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherdssaid to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that
has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they
spread the word concerning what had been told them about thischild, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds
said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and ponderedthem in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praisingGod for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as
they had been told.

Gloria! To God Sing Gloria!Scripture Reading and Underscore
Luke 2:8-14
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the
Lord"
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Silent Night, Holy NightScripture Reading and Underscore
John 1:14-18
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son,
who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
(John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying,“This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who
comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”)Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace
already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace nd truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seenGod, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is
in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
