Martin Casado is a general partner at the venture capital firm
Andreessen Horowitz where he focuses on enterprise investing. He
was previously the cofounder and chief technology officer at Nicira,

Bracken Darrell, CEO, Logitech
Bracken Darrell joined Logitech as president in 2012 and
became chief executive officer a year later. In this role he has
led a transformation of Logitech. He is a proponent of the
importance of the liberal arts and design in business, especially
of their role in innovating product experiences for consumers.
Bracken brings to Logitech experience in product and brand
building through design. Since he took over five years ago,
Logitech has been a top performer on the SIX Swiss stock
exchange and on the NASDAQ. The company’s stock price and

Laura Urquizu, CEO, Red Points

Laura Urquizu is leading the worldwide innovation for online

and has led the company since its infancy. Red Points is the

STRATOSPHERE PROJECT 4YFN is the first conference to ever reach the stratosphere. This year, for the first time, 4YFN, along with its partners Zero 2 Infinity is launching a balloon to the stratosphere containing the resolutions for the future contributed by startups. The whole adventure is shot in HD and available to use.
A series of beautiful short documentaries were shot to accompany the project,
highlighting some of the amazing work of three inspirational startup leaders. Watch the teaser trailer here.
The 4YFN trophy also went all the way up to the stratosphere before falling back to Earth where it was recovered to be handed to the 4YFN Award Winners on 27 February.
Last year, the music event Sonar beamed music into space, but this is the first time a conference has physically broached the edges of space.

Minushu is a start-up company founded in August,

visionary start-ups from around the world. Five finalists have been shortlisted following
an intensive selection process with applicants from more than 200 companies. The
selected finalists now have the opportunity to win the prestigious ‘4YFN Start-up of the
Year’ award, plus prizes worth €300,000 during an award ceremony taking place on 27
February at the Banc Sabadell Stage during 4YFN at MWC19.

Main Spokespeople for 4YFN Pere Duran, 4YFN Event Series Director
Pere is the Event Series Director of 4 Years from Now, the most influential startup platform in the world. He is an expert in startups, innovation and growth.
Pere is a Barcelona native who has worked with the Mobile World Congress for over 10 years. He was the Sales Director of MWC sister-event 4 Years from Now (4YFN) and recently took over as 4YFN’s Event Director. Pere studied Economics at the Pompeu Fabra University and lived in London for 3 years where he worked in telecoms and events.
Pere has been instrumental in the growth and development of 4 Years from Now from a small area within MWC, attracting 2,000 attendees into a supersize startup event outgrowing its event location and bringing in more than21,000 visitors including top investors and corporates.
Peter Brady, GSMA Business Director
Peter is the Business Director of GSMA, responsible for
GSMA’s newest business platforms, events and
partnerships. He is a leader in convening the telecoms,
media and technology sector, dedicated to bringing
together the international tech industry for over 10
years.
Prior to moving to Barcelona in 2017, Peter lived and
worked in China for 4 years and before that UK, and
Italy. During his time in China, he was part of a team
that created and launched the Mobile Asia Expo, which
became China’s largest international technology
tradeshow. As Sales Director, he learned little
Mandarin but he did oversee triple-digit growth.
Peter has overseen forums for thought leadership and platforms for change in over 40
countries, welcoming in excess of 1 million attendees from across the technology
ecosystem. These days, his focus is on designing, creating and launching new ventures,
platforms and business information platform services – ensuring sustainable profitability,
finding talent and encouraging new teams to create a successful culture.
Peter got his Bachelor’s degree at University of Nottingham, and more recently earned his
International MBA at Hong Kong University in 2017, as well as having completed a corporate
innovation programme at Michigan University School of Business.
He says he would be a football journalist if he wasn’t doing his current job and has a secret
penchant for chess, at which he has competed at national level!
