LCD panels are designed to be used in different orientations such as portrait or horizontal and power supplies and other components are rated for professional use
LCD panel and associated drive components are designed to
operate correctly with a wide range of PC inputs as well as many formats of video signal
Signal input and other connectors are designed for
professional use and will connect to a wide range of peripheral equipment. They are of a robust nature and are made to withstand multiple connection and reconnection as well as stay connected due to locking clips or securing screws
Brightness levels are higher to account for the variable lighting conditions existing within commercial installations
Anti reflective or anti glare filters are applied to minimise reflections in commercial environments
Network and RS232 control is possible to enable remote
monitoring and control of the unit and can be used with a wide variety of control equipment
Many additional features used specifically for professional environments including function scheduling, full control of image colour balance and colour temperature, video wall mode, front LED and function lock etc.
Consumer Television
Warranty covers use in domestic homes and is extremely limited when used in a commercial environment. Repairs may be return to base with repair times of 10 days or more without any loan equipment
Designed for use in domestic homes with normal operating temperatures and usage hours for normal TV viewing. Units design is based around aesthetics and not for multiple transport
LCD panel and other components are designed to give the best picture and operation in a domestic setting and used only in landscape mode. Consumer televisions will NOT operate correctly when installed in a portrait mode
LCD panel and associated components are designed to be used with television signals in standard formats and a limited range of common PC formats that are used in domestic environments
Signal input and other connectors are designed for home use and are therefore not rated for high frequencies of connections and disconnections
Brightness levels are lower to view within a normal
domestic home High gloss filters are applied to improve image quality and
perceived contrast level in domestic homes
Network or RS232 control is either not available or limited. It is not usually possible to power ON the unit from the network due to power constraints when in standby
Many features designed for home TV use such as network streaming, dynamic viewing modes and control capability with set top boxes and audio systems etc.
