Context

This project meant teamwork of more persons, participate to regular status meetings (development, functional, architecture and integration) to understand requirements, develop input file parsing scripts using Perl programming, validate specifications, fix issues appeared during testing and deploy to production environment.

Application receive input diagnose files from network elements, parse them according to a pattern agreed with client and highlights in html report, key values that are out of defined range.

Context

The previous contractor did not deliver the projects documentation at the settled date. This caused a delay in the test cases creation.

The projects were initiated to increase security when authenticating into the company application and to create a digital signature to be used on the generated contracts.

Some problems occurred during the installation process causing delay in the testing procedure.

Added Value

ALM was used to create test-cases; test runs and opens specific defects. As the vendor has access to ALM, defects situation and status are discussed here;

PLSQL – used to access the applications databases and make specific modifications according the test case specifications;

UNIX – used to access the application logs and investigate the behavior of the processes when the application fails or does not run correctly.

Outcome At the release of the project the security was highly increased into our client’s stores. By implementing the digital signature the speed of the contract generation has been increased and also the business-client side experience has been improved.

Data Migration

Context Hardware changes require data

migration. This project meant teamwork of more persons, participate to regular meetings – in special to project plan and status meetings (with client, persons from hardware and network infrastructure), maintain, develop and test and use in production migration scripts.

According to client requirement, a migration plan with 2 parts was elaborated and agreed. The export part from old data warehouse system, validation of exported data – number of tables, columns, rows using the client’s proprietary migration agreed tool and an import part of data in new system then again validation of number of tables, columns, rows imported in new system. Check with client the availability of data on new system.

Added Value

Maintain and improve existing migration shell scripts and write new migration shell scripts according to new migration requirements.

Outcome

New fully operational data warehouse reloaded on new system.

The client need a consultant to plan, project, develop and test software in order to deliver applications fitted to different kinds of business.

Added Value Support Technician consisted of providing assistance

(via an in-house ticketing system), in the Software Development Process, on different tools used by developers, such as: Webano (bug tracking system tool – in-house) HP Quality Center (software testing tool) Borland Caliber RM (requirements

Level 3 support for resolution of ETL related issues in production.
