BIM 360 – FAQ’s with Meghan • Access for Architects and GC.

• Do we provide Archs. And GCs accounts and does it cost them any money?

• Yes, our license allows the architect, GC, Inspectors, Owner, etc. to use the program for free.

• Will they need to download or buy any software. Or will they log in thru a website base version? If the architect would like to use the program to create items (RCL/PL) in the field they would need to have an iPad and download a free app. If they will not be creating items, but wanted to view issues they can just log in through a website.

• Could we limit or set their read/write, viewing, editing, ect. permissions?

• Yes

• How does the Archs. And GCs BIM360 different from ours when logged in? The GC’s will only see their deficient items and will only have the ability to comment, or change the status to “Work Completed”. The architects will look different depending on their securities.

• Reports • Are we able to create our own report layouts?

• Unfortunately, we cannot customize the reports. You can export to excel and modify that way, however, that may be time consuming.

• We could export reports into Excels. If a report is exported to Excel, could information entered into the report in Excel be imported back into BIM360?

• We can import using excel files, however, there are specific templates that are required to do this. When you export items into excel it unfortunately doesn’t match the template required to import back in.

• Notifications • During a RCL trail run, after an item was entered in BIM360 it automatically sent a notification to

the GC. Are there notification setting options we set to our needs?

• We can modify these notifications and turn them off.
