    PART TWO - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Refer to the basic contract requirements for Part 2 General Requirements. The following modifications and/or clarifications apply to this Task Order: 1. General Replace all references to the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC) with

    Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD). 2. Section 01 31 19.50 20 - Level C partnering should be accomplished for this task order as described

    in Section 01 30 00.05 20 and may be accomplished as a part of the Pre-Construction Meeting to ensure that we achieve a quality project done right the first time, within budget, on schedule and without any safety mishaps.

    3. Section 01 32 17.05 20 - Network Analysis Schedules (NAS) for Design-Build: Requirements for this

    Task Order shall be as specified below.

    a. Para. 1.6.2.4 Anticipated Weather Delays: The number of anticipated non-workdays for each month due to adverse weather shall be as specified below.

    4. Section 01 33 10.0520 Design Submittal Procedures for Design-Build: Requirements for this Task Order shall be as specified below:

    a. Para 1.9.3 Sustainable Design: A minimum sustainable design goal to meet LEED certified level

    (26 points) is not applicable to this task order. Follow Para 1.9.3 to provide a design that incorporates sustainable techniques and materials.

    b. Para. 2.2.2 Required Design Submittals: Required submittals and durations for this Task Order shall be as specified below.

    i. 100% Design shall be submitted 80 day after award with 21 calendar days Government Review

    ii. Final Design - 14 calendar days Government Review

    Each submittal shall include Basis of Design, Calculations, Manufacturers Catalog Data and all review comment sheets with annotation of actions to be taken by the DB team.

    c. Para. 2.2.4 Review Copies of Design Submittal Packages: Required submittals for this Task Order shall be as specified below:

    100% Submittal:

    i. Nine (9) hard copies Half-Sized Plans / Three (3) CDs (electronic/pdf files) to the NAVFAC HAWAII Project Engineer.

    ii. Three (3) hard copies Half-Sized Plans / Three (3) CDs (electronic/pdf files) to the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD).

    1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project is to construct interiorinfillSunControlWall(AluminumScreenLouverWall,7Total)betweensteelcolumnsbehindsouthfacingexteriorwindowsatBuilding 67. Each Sun Control wall (Aluminum Louver Screen Wall) is approximately 18 wide, 22-6 tall, and 3-6 above existing concrete floor except the Sun Control Wall located in above existing roll up door (7-6 x 9-8 WXH) will be approximately 18 wide, 15 tall. Each Sun Control Wall will be supported by free stand steel frame. Existingwindowisapproximately15'wideand24'tall. The sun control wall is employed to prevent the sunlight from entering into building. As result, heat from the sunlight will not negatively impact the precise operation and production of the Shaft Lathe.Building67,ahistoricalbuildingwithcategoryII,is a steel frame building. Electrical work includes relocating electrical items and rerouting electrical circuits as required to allow installation of new sun control wall. The project is located in Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii. --End of Section--

    2.0 PROJECT OBJECTIVES 2.1 Mission Statement Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard's primary mission is to provide regional maintenance at both the depot and intermediate levels to keep the surface ships and submarines of our nation's Navy 'Fit to Fight'. Plainly put, the Shipyard's mission is to perform any and all maintenance work other than routine repairs by sailors. Maintenance capabilities include overhauling, repairing, converting, alteration, refurbishing, defueling, refueling, and decommissioning of Navy vessels. Sun Control wall is required to mitigatesunlightpenetrationintobuilding67.

    2.2 Facility Function The existing Building 67 currently serves as Machine Shop. This project is critical to ensure the sunlight will not negatively impact the precise operation of the Shaft Lathe. 2.3 Project Specific Priorities 2.3.1 Sustainable Design

    2.5 Workflow Process

    2.5.1 Hours of Operation Normal operations in Building 67 area typically take places around clock, 1st shift 0630-1500, 2nd shift 1430-2300, and 3rd shift 2330-0700. Contractor is restricted to work daylight hours from 6:30 am to 3:00pm.
