Il Conservatorio Claudio Monteverdi di Bolzano è da quasi un secolo centro di incontro fra le culture musicali italiana e austro-tedesca.

Istituto di Alta formazione accademica del Ministero dell’Università e Ricerca italiano, ha statuto d’autonomia didattica riconosciuto dalla Provincia Autonoma dell’Alto Adige che gli consente di essere soggetto attivo nello scambio culturale fra Italia e Mitteleuropa. L’insegnamento è impartito in italiano e tedesco in ugual misura.

Vanta un corpo docente prestigioso con docenti di strumento che si distinguono nella attività concertistica in campo internazionale, mentre in ambito musicologico, teorico e didattico sono attivi con pubblicazioni, conferenze, seminari; il Monteverdi provvede così ad una formazione musicale fortemente professionalizzante e competitiva nella vita musicale europea. Innumerevoli sono infatti i riconoscimenti conseguiti dagli studenti in concorsi e selezioni per solisti, orchestre, per la docenza.

È in atto la trasformazione del Conservatorio in Facoltà di musica Conservatorio Claudio Monteverdi della Libera Università di Bolzano, processo che arricchirà ulteriormente in prestigio e ricchezza l’offerta formativa e che andrà a regime nei prossimi anni accademici, garantendo in ogni caso agli studenti già iscritti il completamento secondo l’ordinamento attuale.

CoRsI ACCAdeMICI dI PRIMo e seCondo LIveLLo (triennio e Biennio)Il Conservatorio Claudio Monteverdi offre corsi accademici di primo e secondo livello in tutte le principali discipline musicali (canto, didattica, nuove tecnologie, strumenti a fiato, a tastiera e percussione, ad arco e a corda, composizione, direzione di coro e d’orchestra) così come nella musica d’insieme, con il Biennio di Musica da camera e il Master di primo livello in quartetto d’archi.È inoltre abilitato dal MIUR a rilasciare agli studenti laureati il “Diploma supplement”, un documento integrativo al diploma di laurea – in lingua inglese – che, presentato in qualsiasi università del mondo, equipara il Triennio al “Bachelor” e il Biennio al “Master” - secondo la terminologia internazionalmente accettata.

Corsi per GIovAnI tALentIGli studenti aspiranti a frequentare i corsi accademici, possono anticipare la frequenza alla materia principale anche durante gli anni di Liceo - o scuola secondaria -, conseguendo crediti per il corso di Triennio che sarà frequentato dopo la maturità, corso che potrà dunque avere durata ridotta, consentendo allo studente di laurearsi anzitempo.

Corsi PRoPedeUtICISono i corsi per chi non ha ancora una preparazione adeguata, ma può aspirare all’ammissione dopo tre anni di studio (quattro in casi particolari), con un esame finale che corrisponde all’esame di ammissione al Triennio accademico.

LA MUsICA d’InsIeMeIl Conservatorio Monteverdi di Bolzano assegna importanza primaria alla musica da camera, sinfonica e operistica. L’Orchestra sinfonica e il Coro Monteverdi sono impegnati con regolarità in produzioni

sinfoniche e sinfonico-corali, ospitati sovente da istituzioni prestigiose come la Società dei Concerti di Bolzano o il Festival Mahler di Dobbiaco. La Monteverdi Akademie è l’orchestra da camera con i docenti e i migliori studenti, e si esibisce anche con solisti di primo piano che collaborano parallelamente tenendo masterclass; altra formazione in-residence è il Collegium Vocale Monteverdi per il repertorio vocale rinascimentale e barocco, mentre la Windband e il Monteverdi Brass Ensemble sono dedicate alla musica d’insieme per fiati.

PRestIto GRAtUIto e dIsPonIBILItÀ dI stRUMentI MUsICALIIl Conservatorio dispone di un patrimonio di strumenti musicali ineguagliato in Italia: i numerosi pianoforti Steinway (9 grancoda D), Bösendorfer, gli strumenti ad arco di liuteria italiana anch’essi a disposizione degli studenti; per gli strumentisti a fiato le classi dispongono di tutti gli “strumenti speciali” necessari.

Die Musikhochschule Claudio Monteverdi in Bozen ist seit fast einem Jahrhundert ein Treffpunkt zwischen der italienischen und österreichisch-deutschen Musikkultur.

Die dem italienischen Ministerium für Universität und Forschung unterstellte Hochschule für Musik verfügt über ein eigenes von der Autonomen Provinz Bozen anerkanntes Statut mit didaktischer Autonomie, das ihr die aktive Teilnahme am kulturellen Austausch zwischen Italien und Mitteleuropa ermöglicht. Der Unterricht findet zu gleichen Teilen in italienischer und deutscher Sprache statt.

Der Lehrkörper setzt sich aus bekannten Musikern der verschiedenen Instrumentalbereiche zusammen, die sich international durch professionelle Konzerttätigkeit auszeichnen und im Bereich der Musikwissenschaften, Theorie und Didaktik mit Veröffentlichungen, Konferenzen und Seminaren tätig sind. Somit garantiert das Monteverdi eine hoch professionelle musikalische Ausbildung, dazu geeignet, im Wettbewerb der musikalischen Welt in Europa zu bestehen, wie aus zahlreichen Anerkennungen und Preisen, die die Studenten bei Wettbewerben und Auswahlverfahren für Solisten, Orchester und Lehraufträge gewinnen konnten, ersichtlich ist.

Zur Zeit befindet sich die Musikhochschule in einer Phase des Überganges zur musikalische Fakultät Claudio Monteverdi der Freien Universität Bozen - ein Prozess, der zur weiteren Bereicherung des Ausbildungsangebotes beitragen und in den kommenden akademischen Jahren abgeschlossen sein wird. Den bereits immatrikulierten Studenten ist der Abschluss innerhalb der bestehenden Studienordnung garantiert.

AkAdeMIsCHe kURse deR eRsten Und zweIten eBene (triennium und Biennium)Es werden Ausbildungen ersten und zweiten Grades in den wichtigsten musikalischen Fachbereichen (Gesang, Musikdidaktik, Neue Technolo-gien, Blasinstrumente, Streich- und Saiteninstrumente, Tasten- und Schlaginstrumente, Komposition, Orchester- und Chorleitung) sowie im Bereich Ensemblemusik das Biennium für Kammermusik und der Ausbil-dungskurs Master 1. Grades für Streicherquartett angeboten.Die Musikhochschule Claudio Monteverdi ist vom Unterrichtsministerium MIUR dazu ermächtigt, den Studienabgängern ein sogenanntes „Diploma supplement“ - ein integrierendes Dokument zum Abschlussdiplom - in englischer Sprache auszustellen, durch welches auf jeder Universität der Welt die Gleichstellung der Studienabschlüsse des Trienniums mit „Bachelor“ und des Bienniums mit „Master“ (entsprechend der offiziellen internationaler Benennung) erfolgen kann.

kurse für “JUnGe tALente”Für zukünftige Studenten wurde die Möglichkeit geschaffen, bereits während Ihrer Oberschulzeit akademische Ausbildungskurse besuchen und Prüfungen ablegen zu können und auf diese Weise Bildungsgutha-ben für das spätere reguläre Studium mit verkürzter Studienzeit nach bestandenem Abitur zu erwerben und somit früher einen Studienab-schluss zu erlangen.

PRoPÄdeUtIsCHe kurseWer über keine ausreichende Vorbereitung für den Eintritt in akademi-sche Studiengänge verfügt, kann nach drei Studienjahren (in besonde-ren Fällen auch vier) mit einer Abschlussprüfung abschließen, welche der Aufnahmeprüfung in das Triennium entspricht.

enseMBLeMUsIkDas Monteverdi Symphonie Orchester und der Monteverdi-Chor engagieren sich daher in breit gefächerten symphonischen- und

Chorproduktionen, die regelmäßig in Zusammenarbeit mit renom-mierten Institutionen wie dem Bozner Konzertverein oder dem Gustav Mahler Festival in Toblach stattfinden. In der Monteverdi Akademie, einem Kammerorchester besetzt mit Lehrern und den besten Studen-ten der akademischen Kurse treten auch führende Solisten der inter-nationalen Szene auf, die gleichzeitig in den masterclasses mit den Studenten arbeiten. Das Collegium Vocale ist eine kleine Gruppe für Renaissance- und Barock-Gesangsproduktionen, die Bläser hingegen musizieren gemeinsam in der Windband und im Monteverdi Brass Ensemble.

GRAtIs-LeIHe Und zUR veRFÜGUnG steLLen von MUsIkInstRUMenten Die Musikhochschule verfügt über eine in Italien wohl einzigartig um-fangreiche Anzahl von Musikinstrumenten: zahlreiche Pianos Steinway D, Bösendorfer, und Streichinstrumente italienischer Instrumentenbau-er stehen den Studenten zur Verfügung; alle besonderen Extras für Blasinstrumente sind vorhanden.

The Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory of Bolzano has been for almost a century a unique center of Italian and Austro-German musical cultures.

An Institute of Higher Academic education under the Italian Ministry of University and Research, the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory enjoys a status of pedagogical independence acknowledged by the Autonomous Province of Alto Adige, allowing it to provide new solutions to the cultural exchange in the field of music education between Italy and Central Europe. Courses are taught in both Italian and German.

The Conservatory’s prestigious instrumental faculty consists of distinguished concert artists, and the eminent faculty members in musicology, theory and music education are renowned for their publications, lectures, seminars, and modern teaching methods. The Monteverdi thus provides highly professional music training, competitive with any offered throughout Europe. This is made evident by the many awards, competitions, and auditions regularly won by students trained in the Monteverdi preparatory and academic courses.

The Conservatory of Music Claudio Monteverdi is undergoing a transformation, merging with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Being incorporated in the university will extend and enrich the conservatory’s offerings. This is guaranteed for currently enrolled students and for those who will enroll in the coming academic year 2019-2020. It is also guaranteed that all students may continue in their current course of study or voluntarily transition to the new curriculum.

BACHeLoR’s And MAsteR’s deGRee ACAdeMIC CoURses (First and second level)The Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory provides students with a rich offering of Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree courses in all the main musical disciplines (singing, pedagogy, chamber music, new technologies, wind instruments, keyboards, percussions, stringed instruments, composition, conducting -choir and orchestra). These First- and Second-Level courses are complemented by a “Diploma Supplement”, acknowledged by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, and issued in English. This document results in full accreditation for the two academic degrees in any university in the world, equating them respectively (in line with the globally shared terminology) to the international equivalents of Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree programs.

Courses for “YoUnG tALents”These courses are designed for high school or secondary school students who, although not yet graduated, may attend the academic courses of the Conservatory and take the exams; the students in these courses will gain credits recognized in the official academic course following the end of high school education. The three-year Triennio course (First-Level, equivalent of Bachelor’s), in particular, can therefore be attended for a shorter duration than normal, allowing the student to graduate in less than three years.

PRePARAtoRY CoursesThese courses are designed for students who do not yet have adequate preparation for entering academic courses, but can aspire to enter them after three years of study (four years in certain cases), with a final exam that corresponds to the admission exam for the academic three-year period.

enseMBLe PLAYInGThe Monteverdi Conservatory of Bolzano assigns primary importance to

chamber music, symphonic music, and opera. The Monteverdi Choir and the Monteverdi Symphony Orchestra are regularly engaged in wide-ranging symphonic and symphonic-choral productions, hosted in prestigious institutions such as the Società dei Concerti in Bolzano or the Mahler Festival in Dobbiaco. The Monteverdi Akademie is a chamber orchestra that brings together professors and the best students, and also performs with leading soloists on the international scene, who collaborate in masterclasses; the Windband and the Monteverdi Brass Ensemble are devoted to ensemble music for wind and brass instruments, while the Collegium Vocale is a small vocal group for early Renaissance and baroque music.

FRee LoAn And AvAILABILItY oF MUsICAL InstRUMentsThe Conservatory has a wealth of musical instruments, freely usable by the students, that is probably unequalled in Italy: the school prides itself on its large collection of Steinway D and Bösendorfer pianos, Italian-made string instruments available to students; wind instrumentalists have available all the necessary special tools.
