The Conrad Dietrich Magirus Award has made a name for itself worldwide as the ‘Oscars of the Firefi ghting Industry’. The award pays tribute to a pioneer of fi refi ghting and someone who remains a role model for fi refi ghters all over the world: Conrad Dietrich Magirus. Based on his legacy, we hold the competition to recognise the work of fi refi ghters and honour their dedication to serving the community. In 2018, the prestigious award will be presented in three categories:

Join in and win a trip to New YorkThe world’s top teams will take part in an unforgettable event: the festive awards ceremony that will be held in Ulm, Germany. The two winning teams in the categories of International and National Firefi ghting Team of the Year will be awarded a multi-day trip to New York City for eight of their fi refi ghting comrades, where they will visit the legendary FDNY.

SPECIAL PRIZE FOR SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT

Fire brigades are an important pillar of society, and they do more than just fight fires and go on rescue missions. In many cities and communities, fire brigades are dedicated to social engagement, they provide support for public events and they stand up for people facing social hardships. This special prize honours the activities and projects carried out by fire brigades in the area of social engagement.

A festive ceremony and an exclusive prize The top teams will get to experience the festive awards ceremony live and in person in Ulm, Germany. A personalised fire brigade training programme at the Magirus Fire Fighter Academy awaits the winning team.

A distinguished jury of experts will evaluate each submission and select a shortlist of finalists for the public online voting round. The combined results of the expert jury selection and the online voting will decide who gets to take home the title and the coveted statue.
