INTRODUCTION
• Robotization is the automation of a system or task, such that human labor is not necessary, and is replaced with a robotic version
• Robot labor is being implemented in many settings, depriving humans of those jobs.
• This can have detrimental effects on employment and income, particularly for lower skilled and lower waged workers.

ROBOTIZATION LEADING TO POVERTY
•Everywhere machines are more and workers are less. Every work is completed with the help of machines.
• In offices, people work on computers, laptop; in home, washing machine, refrigerator, is used. Government supply water, electricity with the help of machines.
• Millions of people lose work every year because of the application of various techniques, robots and machines.

INCREASING WEALTH GAP…
• Traditional management skills are replaced with technical knowledge and more scientific methods and programming.
• People who are already privileged and have more advanced skills, become even wealthier, and income disparity and the wealth gap increase.
![Page 7: connection between robotization and poverty](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070519/58ecf7dc1a28ab1b7f8b4623/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
• High unemployment exacerbates poverty and a lack of low paying jobs makes it increasingly harder for the poor to work themselves out of poverty.
• This leads to a damaged economy, greater class division, increased welfare dependence, among other consequences.

FACTS & FIGURES
• According to a recent study by Oxford University researchers who found that 47% of the labor market in the US alone is at risk of being mechanized out of existence.
• More than three million transportation industry jobs are at risk of displacement by the widespread adoption of self-driving vehicles, which will be present in 30 US cities by the end of 2016.

STEP TOWARDS ROBOTIZATION
• In US and China fewer people work in manufacturing today than in 1997.
• According to the International Federation of Robotics, robot production has been growing at 12 percent per year since 2010.
• The key players in automation are South Korea, Japan, China, Germany and the U.S.

• Robotics experts determine the level of automation in a country by the number of robots employed at factories per 10,000 workers.
• This average is called ROBOT DENSITY.
• The country is likely to see rapid growth in automation at an average of 60 percent by 2016.
• IFR data suggests that car production is by far the most robotized sector in the world.

TREND OF ROBOTIZATION
• Some people think robotization fails to solve the problem of poverty.
• However, some argue that robot labor is actually a positive thing, because it will open up more opportunities for humans
•Robotization may increase the amounts of production, quality and quantity.
![Page 13: connection between robotization and poverty](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070519/58ecf7dc1a28ab1b7f8b4623/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
• Some advantages of Robotization are people like to shop from e-stores by sitting at their home.
• Marketing trends have been changed with the awareness of internet
• Industries are using digital devices for getting the output of different products and services.
• So, these are some technological improvements, which lead us to change our lifestyle.

14
• Workers must come to terms with the imperative of life-long learning
• Companies must anticipate and adapt to rapid
change.
• Governments will need to meet new demands for education and training
WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
![Page 15: connection between robotization and poverty](https://reader035.fdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022070519/58ecf7dc1a28ab1b7f8b4623/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
CONCLUSION
• As poverty has always existed in the society even before the process of robotization.
• The roots of poverty should be found in the different area such as rapid growth of population and lack of education.
• Better technology makes the production process more efficient and less expensive in the long run.
