Welcome to “Connecting Education, Jobs and Our Future.” Today’s event is eighth in the EDTalks speaker series. e Education Alliance

is pleased to sponsor the series because we believe that an excellent education system is critical to our state’s success.

EDTalks is an education-based speaker series that promotes innovative discussion and big ideas about connecting education, jobs and our future. EDTalks events are held across West Virginia to provide a lively series of networking and education events designed to engage business, education, and community leaders in public education issues. Each program will feature compelling presentations by cutting-edge speakers, professionals, and advocates along with ample time for conversation and networking.

When we think about the tremendous economic opportunities and challenges facing our state, the connection between jobs and education is obvious. Engaging our communities in this conversation is mission critical to our success. Today, e Education Alliance is excited to hear from Ralph Baxter, an Advisor on the Legal Profession, Chad Crumbaker, Vice President of WVU Parkersburg, and Toni Poling, the 2017 West Virginia Teacher of the Year, on how we can strengthen the pipeline to future jobs in West Virginia.

We thank the sponsors of today’s event for their support and commitment to education on behalf of all West Virginia students. ank you for taking time to participate in today’s EDTalks event. Together, we can change the future!
