• Create a “profile”
• Can often be "friends" with other users– Typically you need to have a mutual
"agreement" between friends

How do I sign up?
Demo
• www.skype.com
• Click on ‘Download’
• Scroll down to see ‘Download now’ button
• Click on ‘Run’
• Click on ‘Run’ again
• Welcome screen: select ‘Options’
• Change options if needed (not necessary)
• Read and review License Agreement
• After clicking ‘I Agree – Install’ select or deselect the Google Toolbar (no impact on Skype)
• Will take 2 – 5 minutes to install…
• … still going …
• Click ‘Start Skype’
• Create a Skype account• Remember your password
• After completing the information, click ‘Next’
• Enter your Email and Country and City (optional)
• After clicking “Sign In” it will take a few minutes for Skype to create the new account and launch the program
• If you do not see Skype, click on the ‘Skype’ button in the bottom taskbar
• Search for Contacts using the Skype Directory
• Once you add a Contact you will be able to call them using Skype
• Click on ‘Call’ to start a conversation
• To start Skype later, click on Start > All Programs > Skype > Skype
