Description
The Allied Connect2® medical gas outlet stations
provide convenient access to medical gases in
patient care locations. They accept either a
Chemetron or Ohmeda adapter in the same
outlet.
The outlets are field-gangable in any order desired
by the facility. Outlets are spaced 5" (12.7 cm)
center to center. Outlet finish plates and rough-in
plates are pin indexed using steel pins for positive
cross-connection prevention. Primary valves are
separate from the finish plate, allowing easy
testing for leaks and cross connection. Primary
valves are made of brass and contain a chrome-
plated self-sealing poppet. Primary valves are
field-adjustable to compensate for variations in
plaster thickness of 1/2" to 3/4". Outlets may be
special ordered with extended valve bodies that
allow for an additional 3/8" or 3/4" adjustment.
The type K copper inlet tube has a 1/2" OD
connection, and can rotate 360 degrees to
accommodate any field piping arrangement.
The primary gas check can be serviced without
shutting off the gas supply.
Finish plates consist of a stainless steel insert
surrounded by a silver metallic-finish ABS high-
impact decorative trim.

convenient access to medical gases in patient care locations. They are fully compatible with Med*Star and ’07 Series adapters.
The outlets can be grouped together in any order desired by the facility. Outlets are spaced 5" (12.7 cm) center to center. Outlet finish plates and rough-in plates are pin indexed using steel pins for positive cross-connection prevention. Valve bodies are separate from the finish plate, allowing easy testing for leaks and cross connection, and contain a self-sealing poppet. Valve bodies are field adjustable to compensate for variations in plaster thickness of 12.7 mm (1/2") to 19 mm (3/4").
The 152.5 mm (6") Type K copper inlet tube has a 9.5 mm (3/8") ID (12.7 mm (1/2") OD) connection, and can rotate 360 degrees to accommodate any field piping arrangement. The primary gas check can be serviced without shutting off the gas supply.
The cam plate contains a positive latching mechanism to retain the adapter in the outlet. The adapter is removed by operating the release mechanism which is integral to the Med*Star adapter (’07 Series adapters use the twist mechanism).
All components (cam plate, tumbler, valve body, poppet, faceplate) are individually field replaceable.

Description
Pressurized Gas Control Panel shall be designed
to deliver variable pressures to power pneumatic
surgical tools. The unit shall have inlet supply
gauge, 0-300 psig (0 kPa to 2067 kPa) to indicate
the supply line pressure.
Located immediately upstream of this gauge shall
be a supply line shut off valve, rated at not less
than 250 psig (1722.5 kPa) pressure. A quarter
turn of the valve handle shall be required to
obtain a fully open or closed position.
An adjustable relieving type pressure regulator
with an operating range of 0-250 psig (0 kPa to
17.55 kPa) shall provide required pressure to the
gas service outlet.
There shall be an outlet supply gauge, 0-300 psig
(0 kPa to 2067 kPa) to give indication of the
outlet pressure being supplied to the outlet(s).
The pressurized control panel shall be pre-piped
internally, requiring only external supply line
connection(s).
Additional outlets in the same room may be
connected to the remote outlet pigtail furnished
in the control panel. Remote outlets shall be
regulated by the adjustable pressure regulator
within the panel and shall match the pressurized
control panel outlet.
