Knowing that great wine starts in the vineyard, we work that much harder with every min- ute detail to be exacting and honest, intervening as little as possible. Every decision we make intends to preserve the genuine, focused character of the vineyard. We believe in hand sorting every berry; pressing Chardonnay as whole clusters; allowing native yeast fermentation; encouraging a long malolactic fermentation with weekly batonnage and topping off; barrel aging on lees to create more texture, rich- ness, and complexity; and never fining or filtering. Holding true to these methods means there is no room for error or shortcuts, but the reward is a complex, expressive, complete wine. EACH VINEYARD HAS A

    PERSONALITY AND SOUL.

    THERE ARE AN ENDLESS NUMBER

    OF FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE

    A WINE’S CHARACTER – SOIL,

    ASPECT, DRAINING AND FOG

    PATTERN ARE JUST A FEW

    OF THE UNIQUE DRIVERS OF

    VINEYARD EXPRESSION.

“La Brisa” Sonoma County Pinot Noir and ChardonnayThis blend is a combination of several select vineyards throughout the Russian River Valley. The resulting combination of vineyard sites and clones creates a complex, fruit forward, and delicious Sonoma County blend.

“Gap’s Crown” Sonoma County Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown sits in the heart of the Sonoma Coast Appellation on the edge of the Petaluma Gap, a band of lowlands along the Sonoma coastline inviting the Pacific Ocean’s cool, steady winds. Very rocky, well-draining soils produce wines of great depth and richness.

“Blue Jay” Anderson Valley Pinot Noir The wide swing in diurnal temperatures, allow for an ideal balance of acidity and sugar levels through the long, steady ripening of Indian Summers.

“Clos Pepe” Sta. Rita Hills Pinot NoirWith very limiting soils and a strict adherence to natural winegrowing, the Clos Pepe vineyard optimizes the complexity and nuance of Pinot Noir.

“Shea Vineyard” Willamette Valley Pinot Noir The Shea vineyard’s diverse contours and well-drained volcanic and seabed soils create distinctive wines with remarkable grace, complexity, and individuality.
