Smart Resource Marriott wants to make planners’ lives easier with its Convention & Resort Network, a collection of more than 60 Marriott-branded, meetings-focused hotels and resorts with a combined 6.5 million square feet of meeting space and 70,000 guest rooms. Planners can expect a consistent experience at any property within the network, as each has been given a stamp of approval for its service, event satisfaction scores and ability to host groups of 50 to more than 1,000. Use the CRN’s website to search network properties by your requirements, whether it’s a particular region, ballroom size, peak room or key availability date needs. The CRN also hosts monthly webinars, giving three properties the opportunity to host a virtual site visit. And, once on-site, Marriott’s Meeting Service App makes it easy to request changes without ever leaving your seat. New additions to the CRN include Marriott Marquis Houston (opening late 2016) and Marriott Marquis Chicago (mid-2017). “We are now seeing an increase of large groups booking in 2017, 2018 and beyond,” says Mike Wainwright, the network’s vice president of sales strategy. —Anna Dunn Event spaces at properties within Marriott’s Convention & Resort Network MARRIOTT
