Create Who Am I Cards and give your classmates the lesson.

CREATE THE LESSONDescribe 5 photos or drawings of plants you found in your

neighborhood and share the drawing or photo, along with a description of the plant. You need to use encyclopedias, books, and the internet to find your information.

CREATE THE MATERIAL

Type or write (neatly) the description on the bottom of cardstock. Cut these apart so you have a set of five descriptions (one for each plant you have researched.)

Type the name of the plant on another piece of card stock. This should be bigger and bolder than the definition.

ATTACH THE

PHOTOSAttach your photos or drawings to card stock (or, print them on card stock). Each photo or drawing will match up to one of the definitions. Be sure to write the correct plant name on the BACK of the definition card AND the photo/drawing card so your classmates can check their own work!

Trace the southwestern United States and Mexico by using the North America puzzle map. Using the photos from the Botany Field Trip presentation, print, cut out and place them on the map where they are found.
